I really liked it! I was surprised I liked it so much, as it could have gone very wrong - I agree with people who say the movie is better than the book. I was hoping they'd remove a few things from the book that I didn't like - they didn't, they stayed completely faithful to the book, but they successfully toned down some things: So, I liked it - I want to see it again!

Yes, the amount of blood wasn't realistic, but if you show too much blood it would've gotten an R rating. Hopefully they realease an R-rated DVD version with all the stuff they had to cut to make it PG13.

22m would be really bad for HF2 - ouch! Hopefully it goes up a bit.

If the opening day ends up being ~70m and the weekend ~140m and the total ~290-300m then this has to be the most consistent franchise ever.

No one who knows what they're talking about thought it would. Why are people comparing this to DH2? It should be compared to the previous 3 twilight movies, and if you really want to compare it to a Harry Potter movie, then compare it to DH1.

Toxic word of mouth? Everyone I know who's actually seen the movie, has liked it - most fans loved it. Now certain critics, who have always hated Twilight and sat down to watch the movie expecting to hate it - wow guess what, they hated it. That was entirely predictable, what wasn't predictable was the overwhelmingly positive fan reaction. Among all the Twilight fans I know, this is the only movie they all loved.

Awesome for BD1 - beating all the previous Twilight midnights with no Imax - you can't ask for more than that!

It's difficult for me to give an unbiased review - obviously. It was very faithful to the book, I left the theatre with a smile on my face and I think the crowd reaction was good. There were alot of humorous moments in the movie, most intentional and some not intentional. If you're not a fan you'd probably hate it, but the movie was definitely and unashamedly made for the fans.B
