All kidding aside, I will laugh and laugh and laugh if Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is the sole film of the four (Dumbo, Aladdin, TLK) to get a fresh rating on RT this year.
Oh, don't get me wrong, I know that Aladdin and The Lion King especially will smoke it to hell and back at the box office. But who would have possibly guessed when Maleficent 2 was moved to this year that it might be the only film in the current set of cartoons to live action to earn a fresh rating over on RT, should TLK just pip under it.
Not I, that's for sure.
Is there currently any reason to believe that M2 won't get a "rotten" rating?

EG increasing from yesterday, good.
How could that be considering the other movies dropped?
But maybe it's now taking in so little that random variations become a factor...

That's ridiculous. Even if EG passes Avatar it's still less impressive than Avatar and considerably less than Titanic.
In which ways are EG less impressive than Avatar?

Never understood where the overinflated projections for TS4 came from so it's nice to see the general public behaving according to my own expectations for once.
Now if only the same holds true for TLK live action as well I can start considering a career in box office.

When does EG pass Avatar?
The day before Avatar 2 is released.

Might have to rename this to Men in Red.

Big oof at Dark Phoenix already falling behind Rocketman for the weekend. Will likely barely even beat Godzilla for the weekend.
I thought it starting falling behind quite a bit already on Wednesday.

How long will it take to pass it?
An eternity would be a good start.

Why would anyone think there's enough interest in a New Mutants movie when the X-Men's most famous story did not even warrant a "yawn" at the box office?

Yeah, flawed characters are good, but you want to be able to still root for them as well.
