Black Panther still chugging along! Probably only 2-3 weeks tracking left now?

Either you watch every single marvel movie opening Thursday’s and come on here to talk about them (which mean you actually like these movies) or you don’t watch them and come here to troll and instigate because you have nothing better to do.
No need to actually watch them, just have to check if it was directed by Cameron or not.

My understanding has been they count the entire double feature gross for both films. It's the lamest of lame tricks.
Where does the extra money come from in that case?

Wait did you even read that article??? If so whats your point.
That not everyone seems to be eagerly awaiting a sequel, but is open to the possibility of it being good.

Christ reddit can be entitled sometimes. Not really sure how to solve it though.
Only visit well-moderated sub-reddits like /r/AskHistorians/.
Better to just ignore the rest.

Because everyone loves Pandora as it takes them 4.3 lightyears away from their crappy lives on earth.
Not quite everyone it seems.

There's too much pent-up demand for Avatar 2 for it to pull a Solo, $3B is a floor.
How do you know? Hardly ever comes across anyone talking about it.
Now, it could always be similar to the Jurassic movies with mostly off-line, silent majority fans, but if so, how does one know?

"We"? Speak for yourself, please.
Some of us use the royal "we" every now and then you know.

Also, I want to thank Rthanos’s new sig for making it very clear where else it is acceptable to post his numbers (nowhere). Anyone who didn’t know that before, please take note.
I have signatures turned off (much too noisy) so good to know.
Not that I would re-post them anywhere else, but still...

I don’t think $1b is even close to a sure thing anymore for IX. Will all depend on the reception of it. I also highly doubt that SW won’t ever be back to being a juggernaut. Even if this sequel trilogy goes down in flames, SW will come back with a vengeance at some point. They just have to give real time to let the demand build again and not make such a divisive film.
How? I mean, what is there left to do, really?
Already did the prequels that showed how Vader and the Jedi fell and the Emperor rose.
Did the sequels as well and killed off multiple main characters from the OT.
Can't continue with the OT characters as the actors are either too old or dead.
Since SW seems to be mainly nostalgia driven it's hard to see in which direction they can continue from here.
Kind of doubt the new non-Skywalker trilogy will find a big audience even if I myself might go see at least the first one.

DP2 is good for one watch so not shocking its dropping off a cliff fast.
Is it actually common to watch a movie more than once in the cinemas in the US?
Would be very rare experience for me personally, should be about 2-3 movies in total that I watched more than once there. Later, when they come out in other formats is a different issue of course.

after a certain amount of votes, i don't see how trolls drop votes more than 5%
Depends on if they manage to automate account registration and voting. I.e. use bots.
They could also manage a lot manually if they are really dedicated to what they do.

100% the fault of TLJ that is for sure. Who is to blame for that? Up to opinion.
Well, I for one did not have any big problems with TLJ and will be there on the premier for Episode IX.
Have absolutely no interest in Solo though. Got enough of the SW spin-offs after Rogue One.

Wow! First Infinity War, now Deadpool 2!
One more and you’ve seen 10 movies!
Surely Mr. Cameron has made more than 7 movies?

See, believe it or not, and regardless of what butthurt anti-Cameron trolls on the net tell you, a whole lot of people loved Avatar because of the characters. Yep...I know, I know..."those cardboard-thin characters" actually compelled enough people (me included), and to me, that IS the gimmick. I want to see the continuation of Jake and Neytiri's story more than any shiny color or 3D shot.
So there.
I'll take you at your word, never got around to seeing it myself. Will probably not watch the sequel either unless I happen to catch the original on television first.
Would personally have assumed it would do about as well as Alice2 compared to Alice1, as it's rare to see someone talking Avatar in the places I frequent.
Oh well, will be interesting to follow its box-office when it hits at least!

Wondering how much longer till top-10 dom are all 600+. BP will be the 7th one.
3 more 600 films needed : AIW has a shot but I think 525-550. SW9 and TLK could give us 2 more 600+. Which else? A2 probably.
What's the draw for A2 now that 3D has become common and mundane?
Does Cameron have some new breakthrough/gimmick lined up?

The link said the film needs $800M to break even.
NOT that it cost $800M and so needs much more to break even.

That correlation from blade cannot be right. It has to be in the image or the url of the image.
Is that written down in the rules?
