Either you watch every single marvel movie opening Thursday’s and come on here to talk about them (which mean you actually like these movies) or you don’t watch them and come here to troll and instigate because you have nothing better to do.

No need to actually watch them, just have to check if it was directed by Cameron or not.

Also, I want to thank Rthanos’s new sig for making it very clear where else it is acceptable to post his numbers (nowhere). Anyone who didn’t know that before, please take note.

I have signatures turned off (much too noisy) so good to know.

Not that I would re-post them anywhere else, but still...

I don’t think $1b is even close to a sure thing anymore for IX. Will all depend on the reception of it. I also highly doubt that SW won’t ever be back to being a juggernaut. Even if this sequel trilogy goes down in flames, SW will come back with a vengeance at some point. They just have to give real time to let the demand build again and not make such a divisive film.

How? I mean, what is there left to do, really?

Already did the prequels that showed how Vader and the Jedi fell and the Emperor rose.

Did the sequels as well and killed off multiple main characters from the OT.

Can't continue with the OT characters as the actors are either too old or dead.

Since SW seems to be mainly nostalgia driven it's hard to see in which direction they can continue from here.

Kind of doubt the new non-Skywalker trilogy will find a big audience even if I myself might go see at least the first one.

DP2 is good for one watch so not shocking its dropping off a cliff fast.

Is it actually common to watch a movie more than once in the cinemas in the US?

Would be very rare experience for me personally, should be about 2-3 movies in total that I watched more than once there. Later, when they come out in other formats is a different issue of course.

See, believe it or not, and regardless of what butthurt anti-Cameron trolls on the net tell you, a whole lot of people loved Avatar because of the characters. Yep...I know, I know..."those cardboard-thin characters" actually compelled enough people (me included), and to me, that IS the gimmick. I want to see the continuation of Jake and Neytiri's story more than any shiny color or 3D shot.

    So there.

I'll take you at your word, never got around to seeing it myself. Will probably not watch the sequel either unless I happen to catch the original on television first.

Would personally have assumed it would do about as well as Alice2 compared to Alice1, as it's rare to see someone talking Avatar in the places I frequent.

Oh well, will be interesting to follow its box-office when it hits at least!

A review of TLJ with the $800M number thrown in without any link of any kind saying it needs $800m to break even.

    Again, you provide convincing evidence.

Narrator: He didn't provide convincing evidence.

The link said the film needs $800M to break even.

NOT that it cost $800M and so needs much more to break even.
