Well I don't know, Tuesday might hold close to flat, it's discount Tuesday. Wednesday will drop pretty hard.
But if Monday is playing at close to full capacity then Tuesday will drop due to lower ticket prices. Wednesday otoh could in theory increase again.

Well at this stage I would say Endgame (plus Infinity War) as the event/s for those films were huge; particularly with Endgame. At least from my local experience and what I've seen it definitely tops the new Star Wars saga.
Although, we still have another twenty months and Avatar 2 is suppose to come out by then. I have absolutely no idea on what scale that will be as an event - although I don't imagine much less than very very big. It seems a little too early to call what the biggest event will be when A2 and other films are on the way.
Yes, hard to tell how big Avatar 2 will be, but that does not matter. It's released in 2020, so not applicable for this thread.

So Avatar was not the movie that ushered in the current wave (maybe now abating) of 3D movies?

unless the craziness continues.
I hope it does. The movie just devolving to standard drops would be a little boring after this opening weekend.

Insanity. Endgame deserves ALL the money.
I'll settle for 1 and 3 personally.

9 years in the making? Avatar 2 comes out on the 11 year anniversary?
So work on it started 7 years ago?

A 2.3x multiplier is all it needs? That will be easy.
$3b is the real target after a weekend of this size.
But maybe standard multipliers do not apply with an opening this big?

Fantastic for CM, 9M+ for the weekend!!! I'm almost locking 420M now. 430M wouldn't surprise me, phenomenal late legs.
But won't it drop like a rock along with all other movies next week when Endgame arrives?

Captain Marvel over Dumbo this weekend?

Thats why one should switch autoplay on YT off.
Two other options as well.
1. Don't watch crap to start with, YouTube will make sure to show you more of it.
2. If you have to, then don't use your standard account.

Maybe she'll get depowered/nerfed in Endgame.
Would fit the plot since her power comes from one of the Infinity Stones.

Read the book.
The movie was better.

Any way Disney will get Christopher Robin over 100 million?

Few, that's why what largely will happen is some receipt money from I2 will find it's way to BP cause I2 is likely to hit $600m itself. And if that stalls just short they will take money from Christopher Robin to get it there.
Couldn't they do that directly then instead of bothering with a re-expansion as well?

Already committed to seeing this so it better be good!

Wouldn't they need another "Let It Go" to really explode (again)? Seems that might be hard to do on demand, can't make the lightning hit your bottle every time.
