Some critics seem to think that the film was made for commersial purposes, such as mentions of sequels, merchanding and and TV-show getting made. Do you think that it is because this is a superhero film that has some Saturday morning cartoon elements? I do not think the critics have been this cynical of the past WDAS films. I do not think Big Hero 6 has been made any more commersial purposes in mind the WDAS films usually are.

And even one of the 'rotten' reviews had the reviewer upset afterward that it came up as a rotten rating. Apparently that wasn't his intent.
Can't the reviewer ask the review to be changed? Which review it was?

I do wish RT wasn't taking its time with adding these. They must be spending all of their time adding Interstellar reviews so the Nolanites don't get them.
Ah so that is what the delay is about then, too few death threats
It does make since that they would rush more with Interstellar when it has opened already. I actually would not mind if they had not put the rotten one's there as well. Now it is more frustrating to wait for new reviews.

Cinemablend's "This Rotten Week" is predicting that BH6 will end up at 95% on RT:

I did not know there there sites that predict Rotten Tomatoes, nice to know.

BH6 opens in the UK on January 30th, so at least I'm not from there. They have to avoid this topic for three months after this move opens to avoid spoilers. Disney is so cruel.
It opens January 30th here in Finland as well, so would kindly ask people now to try to avoid spoilers after the film opens (probably you do not manage to wait that long but if you could...) I had to move about of Frozen IMDb boards for that reason last year.

I hope WDAS does not keep making only "princess" animated musicals. Before Disney films used to pretty much all be musicals regardless of the gendre. But alternating between non-musicals and musicals is not a bad thing.

100% on RT <3
I would like if RT could somehow show when new reviews are added since you can not tell when it is 100%.

The question is unfair for me since all the movies I was anticipating the most are released now, it was very hard to choose.

Pocahontas made 141M which was more than The Little Mermaid and everything Disney made apart from Tarzan (well Lilo and Stich made 4M more but less overseas) until Tangled. And people still talk like it was a disappointment. I know many are talking from artistic perspective (I love that film so I do not agree) but still. But you can see there what too high expectations can do for a film.
I do not think the same can happen for Big Hero 6. Nobody was expecting Pocahontas to make as much as Lion King but since it made less than Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin and was not as loved it hurt the films reputation and many say it ended the renaissance (I think it ended with Tarzan). With Big Hero 6 people should bel be satisfied if it makes about as much as Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph. Moana might be compared to Frozen more since it is the followup princess musical. If Big Hero 6 gets poor reviews that could be bad for the revival, but I do not see it happening.
But if Big Hero 6 manages to beat Interstellar and have box office that is closer to Frozen than Tangled I think it will get great headlines. This is not completely impossible in my opinion, people seem to love superheroes and it will be a while for the other kid centric film. Not that it can beat Frozen even as a remote possibility.
In a way however I do not want Big Hero 6 to do too well, the Disney executives would just decide that Frozen's success was due to only the superhero elements and it being a well-received film, not because of the female protagonist and musical elements. It was so frustrating for so long to watch Disney try to court the boy market. Maybe now they have Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar they could just let WDAS do more girl centric films and not meddle.

Was Laggies released this weekend? There is no theater count on Mojo and nobody is mentioning it.

Every time a horror film comes out people seem to say it was horrible. Yet people still watch them.

^ The link and Google search say page not found. Maybe they were not supposed to release reviews yet and took it down. What did it say?
-
^ I am mostly refering to the TV-spots.

If Big Hero 6 does not do well I need to re-evaluate how good I am with judging marketing. The only problem with the marketing I could find is that it might be too kid-centric to some.

Sobody wants a Free Birds sequel?

I hoped that Book of Life would have done at least more than Alexander and the overlong title. But it should do better internationally.

^ The headlines would be great if Big Hero 6 would beat Interstellar on OW. But probably Interstellar makes a bit more.
But how many TV-spots Big Hero 6 is going to have? They all seem great, not spoiling the film and still having different scenes but there are just so many. In my country there are no TV-spots so I am not used to them but I do not remember Frozen having this. Alltough I was avoiding some of the marketing for it so I am not sure.

It would be pretty funny in my opinion if Warner Animation did nothing but Lego films (unless every one of them would get a sequel as well,or if they make more than one film a year). Still not have seen the Lego Move however, so I do not if it is really as good as people say.

Well since the villain is wearing a mask it feel it is likely his identitity is some kind of twist. But I do not expect it to be huge one like being Hero's brother would be.

I think August would be a better date but maybe Scorch Trials can not be finished by August.

Same with Honey Lemon, ever notice that she's whiter in many of the costumed promo images than in any of the actual footage we've seen (where, as some have said, she looks Latina)?
I noticed her skin color as well. Correct me if I am wrong but I remember reading somewhere that she was supposed to be a latina but it was changed.
But I never did think that Hero looked white-washed, never knew what that was about. He has pretty usual Disney looks and you can not really make him look more Asian without making him look like a caricature unless the eyes are made smaller. But nearly all Disney characters have large eyes, especially the younger characters.

I meant it is as if it is more commersial than the other WDAS films just because it is a superhero film. And while Disney is the most commersial of the major studios Dreamworks is the most commersial animation studio (IMO obviously) they just do not as good job with merchandicing and have recently faltered with films.
