  1. My first cat was called Anakin, my current cats are Padmé and Leia, mother and daughter, rehomed them and they are the sweetest thing. Leia always tells me how her mother is so beautiful and kind... which doesn't make any sense... because I can't speak cat.
  2. Okay. I just looked up the cast list and have in fact realised, that I'd forgotten one of the main characters in the new Star Wars films is black.
  3. Just a reminder that today is the 41st anniversary of the release of STAR WARS. Take a chill pill everyone and celebrate a good movie.
  4. Probably laughing because he knows he'll get away with it. He has plenty of money to hire good lawyers.

  6. @IronJimbo i posted the wrong number, look again. 60415632089977732898922123425472869761A. Damn. That is quite a large number.
  7. This means that Avatar 5, the final movie, will gross 60415632089977732898922123425472869761A
  8. Give it a chance, seems pretty obvious that the adverts are leaving out a huge portion of the film. But yes you're right, they are doing more sequels and rehashes. This is the disneyfication. Just compare the films made after Disney bought Pixar, to the ones before. Toy Story 3, Cars 2, Cars 3, Monsters Inc 2, Finding Nemo 2, and then you got Brave and Good Dinosaur which are just dull compared to the Pixar of old. Inside Out was the first Pixar film in over a decade to have any sense of inventiveness and character to it. Coco was pretty run of the mill but I do appreciate it's an important film in its setting, takes balls to spend tentpole money on a Mexican film.
  9. That's a fantastic gain for Annapurna, hope they don't screw it up. Good to see an independent film company be given a big shot.
  10. Remind me how Avatar was bound by some franchise? Incidentally Titanic was bound to the existing story... you know Titanic is based on a real event yeah? It's a historical film and Cameron took every step to make sure it was a fair depiction. In contrast, Avatar was 100% original with the universe created by Cameron free to do whatever he wanted and tied down by quite literally nothing.
  11. Last Jedi hints that the jedi order will be rebuilt... not going to hold my breath that it actually happens but there is potential. We don't have to go back in time to have more Jedi (which I agree would be a good thing) I think it's very strange that lucasfilm decided to recreate in 7 onwards, the same world of the originals where you have a tiny gang of rebels vs a massive empire. Especially since it makes particularly TLJ feel so small in scope
  12. So because an old rich man slept with a younger woman it's just like duh, must be a rapist. Wtf logic is that.
  13. I thought everyone would enjoy Last Jedi but I was clearly very wrong about that so I'm not going to speculate for Solo.
  14. hell yeah. Sexiest cartoon alien fourtee- Yeah very likely. Love ahsoka. I am glad they are incorporating elements from clone wars but I don't think you can assume Disney wont overwrite anything.
  15. I struggled to follow what was happening in the kessel run, why did Han want to be eaten by the creature?
  16. Paul Bettany is really good at being creepy but he wasn't given much to do in the film. Speaking of which, funny how the man who directed Paul Bettany as pretend Darth Maul in the da vinci code is the same man to bring him back to play servant to actual Darth Maul in Star Wars...
