That must mean they're pretty confident in this!
It’s out over here next Friday.

I just saw a ticket for Friday The 13th selling 😀

I remember years ago reading a post from an angry dad who took his daughter to a My Little Pony screening and was complaining that it was filled with men in their 30s who kept yelling inappropriate things during the film.

I wonder if you're going to have adult men buying tickets to Blade Runner and sneaking into My Little Pony.

Bunch of Letterboxd reviews are up. Average is at 3.2/5 right now.

Last time I looked it up on Letterboxed it was a bunch of poor reviews that just reviewed the trailer, doesn't seem fair if they are still.

I disagree, I think it fit perfectly well with the Black Humor/Horror vibe that it is aiming for.
I don’t mind the title, I just think it’s a marketing nightmare.

Time for Happy Death Day!
They really should have changed that title.

Anyone know what the marketing budget for IT was?

Any delicious numbers? Penny wise feeds on fear, I feed on numbers!

Everyone cares so little about Flatliners that the discussion has turned into talking about another movie

The trend of crappy low budget horror movies continues with this movie.
Good to know that will still happen after the successes of Get Out, Split, Annabella Creation and IT.
Next flop horror Happy Death Day upcoming?$19 million isn't exactly low budget. Say what you will about the quality of the movie but it did not look cheap.

Yeah, they just put them up the other day. It appears they aren't doing Tuesday previews, which is understandable since who would want to watch a Christmas movie on Halloween?
When I made the post I didn't realise the movie opened Nov 1st, I thought it was closer to Xmas to be honest.

Where do you live? I’m seeing plenty of advertising here, and they’re releasing it on a big holiday week, they’re treating it like a blockbuster.

I haven't seen much marketing for this other than the trailer playing. Over here October is crammed with horror movies, The Ritual, Double Date, Happy Death Day and The Snowman (not horror but attract similar audience) all open before it, not to mention Thor will be out. Lionsgate need a win over here I guess since those Tyler Perry movies don't open here, they don't have any guaranteed hits.
Also this opens on Thursday rather than Friday.

I can't speak for other countries but I've seen absolutely nothing for this movie over here. The trailer hasn't played once, The Ritual, Double Date, Jigsaw and The Snowman have been playing. There are no posters for it up in the cinema, nothing. Universal are normally good with marketing, both Split and Get Out were everywhere. It looks like they're giving The Snowman all the marketing right now.
They've also pushed it back so it now opens against Thor.

Wow, I saw a Bad Moms Christmas ticket getting sold on Pulse, didn't think they'd be on sale yet.

because it's the movie event of September???
September? Don't you mean decade?
I saw it earlier and didn't think it was so bad. It's not good but not bad, just meh! It's better than The Bye Bye Man and Rings anyway.

Better Watch Out is coming out this weekend in a limited release, I'm not sure the kind of release it's getting but I highly recommend it, I also highly recommend NOT watching the trailer first.
