The success of Deadpool brings us one step closer to a Dogwelder movie.

Paramount should not have released R rated Z2 on the same wknd as Deadpool. They were too lose badly. Given the bad WoM, this still would do easily 60+M if ot were released in the summer. Now I can't see it even outgross the original from 13.5 years ago.
Zoolander 2 is PG13

Deadpool doesn't really have much competition over the next few weeks.

Few interesting notes:
1. Matrix Reloaded is finally about to fall *waits for someone to say that Deadpool will drop 80% today and wont break the record*2. Now for the interesting part-every film to break the February record this century has been rated R.
3. After this weekend The Lego Movie will be the only non R rated film in the top 5 February openers!
What about Robocop 2014? Wasn't that PG13 in order to appeal to the widest audience and guarantee it plenty of $$$?

Wasn't The Amityville horror a big hit for Ryan Reynolds?

Is this a new trend? Horror franchises being adapted for TV? Scream, ED, I wonder what's the next.... I would love see a Final Destination TV Series, and it has too much potential, I still can't believe they finished the franchise just after the best episode

There is no way Rings is coming out on April 1st, unless it's a total dump job.

I honestly won't be shocked to see this completely bomb. This is the definition of a movie without an actual target audience.
The Zombies part will put the Jane Austin fans off, the Pride And Prejudice And Pg13 will put the zombie fans off.

I know some people that saw this at a press screening and they said it was incredibly boring.

The last two movies were PG13, why the hell they would release this one as Rated R
What about the sheer volume of movies that started out as rated R but got turned into PG13?
Is this movie really coming out April 1st? No trailer, no poster, no teaser, you'd think there would be something by now.

I sadly guessed the twist because I read a thinly veiled spoiler on imdb that's wasn't tagged. But my mom was totally spoiled and loved it. I really thought it was a creative idea. Why do people think it's shit?
A few people have told me that it's compleatly ripped off from a little known horror movie that came out a few years ago. After hearing that I'm fairly sure I've figured out what it is. Apperently if you've seen the other movie you'll figure this one out very quickly.

I never understood all the hate that this movie received, of course it's a bad movie, but there's also a lot of terrible horror movies that didn't receive the same hate
It was probably because the movie not only doesn't have an ending, but it flat out tells you to go check out a website to find out what happened next. Very lazy. It would be like going to a Restaurant and getting a crappy meal, then for dessert they just give you a list of ingredients ands places to get them so you can make it at home.

The Boy is getting quite a bit of anger levelled at it from horror fans. Apperently it shamelessly rips off a very well liked independent movie from a few years ago. They didn't say the title (apperently you'll be able to figure this entire movie out if you've seen the other movie) but having another look at the trailer, I think I can figure out which movie that is.

Of course I would prefer to see a good horror movie breaking out, but after the disaster of last year, I'm taking any break out as good for the genre, lol
And I don't get all this hate for PG13 movies, of course most of them are silly, but there are a lot of R movies so stupid as these movies, Insidious showed that is possible to make an amazing movie being PG13, and they're easy to break out, since they have a bigger audience than Rated R movies
Is that why a lot of R rated horror has done a lot better than their PG13 counterparts? The Conjuring and The Paranormal Activity series for example. Hell, the Saw series is in the Guinness Book Of Records for the most successful horror franchise of all time.
I find PG13 restricts horror too much. Also, for me, The Final Girls last year was the final straw with this PG13 bullshit. There was a movie that DARED call itself a love letter to movie like Friday The 13th. Jesus the reason Friday The 13th fans get so much shit is because of how violent those movies where. I cant Even talk about that movie without flashbacks to all the insults I got for loving slasher movies which I assume was the film makers intentions.

Because the genre needs it!
Wouldn't it be more beneficial for a good horror movie to break out rather than a PG13 POS?

I don't think that anyone had faith that it could be a good movie anyway lol
let's just hope that it can be a mini break out like TF
Why would you want it to break out if it's bad!

I heard that there are going to be no press screenings for The Boy, we all know what that means....
-
2016 seems to have way to much PG13 rated horror, fuck that!
-
I just read that Deadpool has been banned in China!

The dialog is spoken in old English. That alone will put the GA off it.

Do you think it has potential to break out with the GP?
No way in hell, the GP are not going to like this at all.

That's a good start for horror this year, let's hope it will be a promising year, unlike 2015
Why? It's lower than what The Woman In Black opened to last January. It's much lower than what the like of The Devil Inside and Texas Chainsaw 3D opened to in the past.

Natalie Dormer DA DRAW!!!! 11M for the Forest is almost more insane than The Revenant pulling 35M+ OW. DiCaprio is gonna take over the box office.
Really? There have been other horror movies released at this time period that opened with much higher numbers.

Very little gore from what I remember. There is one very gruesome and shocking shot though.
