Uh, yes. If you are looking for movies with great plot twists... Those two flicks (not mentioned before) should be on the list as well. Psycho, too, of course. And Body Heat. Here are a couple of good ones:
....
North by Northwest
Memento

It will be number three this year anyway worldwide. Nobody could ever call it a failure.pinocchio is so close to call TDKR a failure.
-
If TDKR makes 1.1 billion USD worldwide in the end it will be the "7th highest grossing movie ever unadjusted".That's great. Congrats to the Nolan bros and the WBs.But it's not even close to flicks like HP1 or ID4 that once were the "second highest grossing movies ever". And so on.
-
Hardly, since both Avatar and Titanic both crossed 2 billion.$1B WW is still a special milestone to cross and will be for at least another few years.
-
He, it's great TDKR will probably make a billion dollars. But one billion dollars is the new 900 million dollars. And 900 million dollars once was the new 800 million dollars. And so on.So what? Last I checked there were a bunch of films over the last 2 years that have crawled to a billion only because of 3D premiums. A 2D movie getting there is pretty damn good.
-
Above all, everybody can re-negotiate the former deal. And since the studio NEEDS you badly you have all the leverage in the world.People still have to get paid.
-
Oh, well, so it will crawl to 1 billion worldwide and maybe even make 1.05 billion worldwide. So what?
-
Yes, they are included. ROTJ made something like 67/33 domestic/overseas during it's first run it seems.Isn't that 43.8m included in the total $165.8 OS gross, though? That means its original 1983 OS gross was less than half its domestic total. Pathetic
-
Uh, sorry.I was talking about Tree of life there. 2001 is one of my favorite movies.
-
China doesn't want TDKR to be big in China, and therefore it won't make great numbers there. So forget one billion worldwide.
-
Doesn't Brave more and more look like a complete disappointment overseas?
-
In George Lucas' book Blockbusting it says: ROTJ made 309 mio domestic with re-releases and worldwide 476 million. So 167 million overseas seems be be accurate.
-
Banes death was just a rather cheap plot point. Since the Nolan bros didn't care too much when they wrote that silly script it's just in line with the rest of the movie.
-
I think I mentioned this movie, too....Knowing - The Nic Cage film.
-
Cool avatar, by the way.

If you are looking for twists, Wild Things would be something I can recommend.

New weekend trend from Germany:Ted (575T), Prometheus (375T), The Dark Knight Rises (250T), Merida/Brave (150T), Ice Age 4 (150T), Lorax (20T),Nothing new, Prometheus just a little bit down from Friday prediction.
-
Whitney last tour was a disaster and not sold out... The reviews she got were mostly very bad and full of pity. R.I.P.
-
Weekend trend Germany: Ted 575'000 admissions and number one again, Prometheus 400, TDKR 250k.
-
Wow. great for Bourne.

"With 87.15 million box office sales during the first five months of 2012, the number of box office sales in France has risen by 5.4% compared to the same period in 2011. After an exceptional April with 48.5%, May confirmed this trend with 16.51 million viewers (+5.1%), but these good results must be put into perspective, since the five first months of 2011 had been disappointing (-11%) and we will have to wait until the second half of 2012 to see whether audience numbers can stay at the high level reached in the last 12 months, which brought in 221.08 million box office sales."
