Tues held 94% vs  91%TF4.  Lets hope it can continue to deviate to the upside

 

If it can hold above 150m tomorrow it'll get real interesting

I am going to predict 130m Monday, regardless of what Sunday actuals will be. 130m/110m/95m/80m/100m/160m/125m=800m 2nd week.

If your predicted percentage declines/increases are correct it's looking like this now. However Tues held incredibly well, maybe the drops could continue to be smaller

 first 3 days beat TF4's 3 day OW(Fri - Sun) by 28M, 30.5%. Gotta believe it holds well thru the weekend.

If it does continue to outpace TF4 like this, then we start talking about 400m . en fuego

Those records on BOM are all only domestic.  I don't think anyone contemplated an overseas market would have higher grosses for those records as soon as this year.

Yup. I doubt BOM will update it to include to China numbers anytime soon.

Tracking these records, if you know the Biggest Days (MON-SUN) DOM/OS could you list them and possibly top 5 for each day?

Will be looking at other records to like the ones you posted above.

this list from BOM has the top 5+ for each day. I assume no OS days would be on it until now or TF4 last year.

None, the rest of the days have films that opened on that day, Nothing big ever opened on Monday. The Tuesday number is the closest, TASM opened to 35M so FF7 would have to increase 6M from Monday to break it.

First of all, welcome to the forums! 

 

If it is able to do that, it will be, again, unexpected. Both Titanic or Avatar were not favorite to do it, and although this was going to increase, I did not read anywhere that this could make what is doing. Box office, again, surprise us. Said this, I still think it will fail with that accomplishment because of TA2. DH2 figure could be the target.

I see a lot of countries are opening AOU on the 23rd, that'll hurt, China isn't til  May 12. That's more than enough time to seize full potential and Japan will have til July.  and May Day will bump it in both countries. Anyone expecting Japan to double up he BO from FF6?
