    #TopGunMaverick  crossed 1.4B mark on 13th weekend after grossing 8.7M overseas (+3.6%) for a 720M cume over 66 markets.
#TopGun sequel hits 1.403B global cume, beating #AgeOfUltron’s 1.402B as #12 highest grossing film of all time at Global #BoxOffice.
    Eyeing a 1.45B Global run!

    Insane for this increase...

700 Dom and 750 OS finish looks bright based on this performance....with Russia and China it would have crossed The avengers (1.52B) for a 9th spot in WW list...considering 70m from these 2 worst case scenario

They watch films really, these are the same people because of which propaganda film The Kashmir Files had earned 240 crores. If they believe that lead of a movie is anti national or had given anti national comments in past they just boycott the movie.

LOL...these Boycott trends have very very minimal or no impact...if the movie is good people will watch if not they won't. It is as simple as that!

LSC right from the beginning wasn't an interesting movie...nothing positive at all...it was just another movie from Aamir after a long time!

I hear ppl say TGM too had political undertones, propaganda movie...nowhere i felt it was a propaganda at all same thing applies to Kashmir files which was bloody history which happened 3 decades back...we need start watching movies as movies and accept certain facts which has really taken place!

I definitely agree with that. Here in my homeland in Turkey for example, it's playing in 310 locations. That amount is insane for an R-rated mid-budget original movie and is primarily reserved for the big blockbusters.

Did BT open well in Turkey???

  5. 30M is good number for an Original movie....BT has opened well the only reason why it kind of pales with my expectation is the huge theater count...4.3k...nevertheless good start...let's see with mixed WoM how it sustains!

BT had a fairly better publicity campaign compared to EoT for sure...Budget wise BT needs 200-250m to be safe...which might be well within its reach!

$4.6m is a solid number although that number is less impressive if you factor in EA.

I always hope the last 3 originals tentpoles of the summer, namely nope , pets and BT can deliver a loud bang so that their staying power can at least spillover to the drought August and September but neither of which wow me. They are solid at most.

    EA?

  7. Remember just before TGM release there was bump in expectation of domestic numbers considering the hype and Pre-sales...however OS expectations was lesser than Dom (Including me) some of us thought its gonna be Dom heavy/skewing movie....now its at 671m and currently enroute towards 700m!

All regions peformed well OS with some exceptional ones giving it a spot in top 5-20(All time) from those respective markets!

    Messages from US

There was also Rhythm Boyz Entertainment’s Chhalla Mud Ke Nahi Aaya which was booked in 65 runs in 33 markets (Punjabi) with solid figures in Canada from Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver which did $665K.

Sarigama Cinemas ‘s VR/Vikant Rona booked at 115 runs in 59 markets (Hindi, Telugu, Kannada) had blasé runs in San Francisco and wound up with a $106K opening

106k only from SF or overall USA only for Vikrant Rona? Watched this movie on friday...loved it!

    Saturday COMPs

    30,914 > 42,990 > 62,982 > 85,904 > 102,185 > 140,690 > 209,595 > 266,911 | Fallen Kingdom (248 locations)
