This is what makes me love JC. Thousands of marketers working at Disney etc. have spent who knows how many hours and millions of dollars trying to replicate his success - and the best they can do is 3rd place? I'm not sure whether it's pathetic on their side, or just Jim's brilliance that makes him undefeated. -
Arrogance is: having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities. Jim is hardly exaggerating considering he created the two highest grossing films in the history of mankind.

Jim's point is not a subjective statement on the state of filmmakers in Hollywood. It's an objective one - he's not been beaten in 19 years at the box office - that is a fact. The only thing that even came close to challenging him was arguably the biggest cultural phenomenon of the last 100 years... and even that couldn't defeat him.

I assume so, although after a quick google news search it seems nothing has been officially announced. Strange at how secretive they're being about the shoot actually... I would have thought there would have been more formal announcements with all the activity I've been seeing first hand recently.

To them Domestic is the World... that is until the Chinese box office becomes the biggest market for films, then I wonder what they'll call it.

Becca Keegan is the only person I know of to have written a book on Jim with his input, but she is female and certainly not a he!

Again, the SW avatars love putting words into my mouth, that's libel. I know Jim is a person as much as anyone, and would never 'idolize' him, that is ridiculous.

Plenty of news about Avatar has come out recently, and far more will start coming in the next few months. In fact, let's discuss the plethora of Avatar related news shall we? i) Toruk recently had its première, what did fellow fans think of it? ii) The sequels officially go into production today - is everyone excited? iii) What do you think Zoe talked to Jim about during her visit to his office?

The hypocrisy of you claiming that arguing over the linguistic use of a term is 'trolling' and then manipulating another a single post later is staggering. Doublethink and Star Wars avatars seem to go hand in hand here.

Jim was an executive producer, helped with some of the technology and marketing, it wasn't a Cameron production. I seriously suggest you actually take the time to learn about the man before trying to form opinions.

I suggest you learn to read what I wrote - you are suggesting that there exists a form of data this is not historical - if this is the case someone somewhere has invented a time machine by definition. 2. I've been learning this industry for 30 years and will never stop, thanks for the suggestion though.
