It appears @darkelfhas pulled off the upset and booted me from this tournament. #stunned.

Figures Fandango wasn't full of crap this week. Ignored them like a Clinton speech and it cost me.

Outstanding for DB - probably heading for low 20's OW. Wasn't sure it could cross $20m with the R-rating and being in a trash dump weekend, but this is a well-reviewed film that has really been buzzing this week.

This PanaMovie guy has come out of nowhere. Need a scouting report on him.

Dragon hurt me this week. With good reviews, I was surprised at the drop. Then again, it's not like tremendous interest was there OW.

top 5 again. when I do beat you, I cant pick up many points in the standings. nice 3 months you've had, you're pulling away in season, yearly and all time charts. youre like Xiang or whatever his name was in BOM
Damn seniors with nothing to do but buy a Ben Hur ticket. Cost me a victory.

why on earth did i put 13.5 for Pete's Dragon
Disney movies usually hold well against low level competition. I went even higher than that. Guess WOM isn't great.

Another superb Derby Average! Guess this was an easy weekend.

Fell from the early estimates, clearly not getting why Lights Out has held so well. I was as excited as anyone to see it but thought it was a real letdown.

The bottom seeds have stirred the pot in the NCAA, but not in this tourney. The top 4 seeds made the final 4 last time...
Except For....
YOU!
Allrighty. I got to focus on beating Bye
Good Luck everyone!
Yes, Tourneys haven't been kind to me but I've advanced further with each successive one! I always tell people, even World Series champs will lose 40% of the time, so keep on keepin' on.

Don't buy that chest-thumping, Shiny Dave - remember, even 15 seeds in the NCAA have made heads spin!

I see Florence screwing me worse than a Sausage this week.

I on the other am bragging.
It's great we have so many skilled predictors on here. I think we'd be of some value to the studios! Call me when our checks arrive.
(and btw, the "due for a catastrophe" bit was my weak attempt at friendly trash talking, largely in hopes of actually making the Final 4 in this Tourney.)

It'll be interesting to see how much of a dive people predict for SS. The new releases also feel tough to predict, making for a potential bloodbath of a week. 88% might do it this time around, @Rolling Thunder!
Lol - we'll see. Without calling anyone out (at the risk of offending), there's 3 A-list players that are statistically overdue for a catastrophic week. This just may be it.

Florence Foster Jenkins next week? Make people pick a movie they never heard of?
Would be a challenge, for sure. 1,500 theaters for a film I haven't heard a single person mention.

Consistently high Derby averages are discouraging. Much prefer playing where 88% is dominant.

Going to get burned by Lights Out double features, I can feel it.
Double features usually see the highest impact when it's Disney. The Shallows was one those rare outliers earlier in the summer.
From what I saw, Jason Bourne is also playing a lot of double features with SS.

Been wondering when Wildbill would finally get in the win column!

TalismanRing playing very well of late. Nice to enjoy a hot streak while it lasts. An excellent Derby final!

Two outstanding finalists - best of luck!

Thought The Purge would hold well despite Lights Out opening, but oh well. Guess there is horror overlap with PG-13 and R audiences.

Snuck in my predictions at like 11:45 last night. phew!
Meanwhile, I'm stuck with my preliminary KJ predictions thanks to the increasing technical difficulties they are experiencing. As such, my effort for a prolific restorative rebound is limited to BOT.

You placed much higher in the KJ derby, HAHA
I generally do and typically perform strongly on Box Office Champs, where scoring isn't based on percentages. The Achilles Heel of the traditional Derby has always been the lowest grossing movies which can kill you. I went low on The Shallows figuring the ladies would be at Ghostbusters but clearly GB attracted an older demographic. My logic was still reasonable, though.

Whats worse Is Bozly took 37 th and you still lost. Shame, we couldve had the top 4 seeds In the final four. time to go back on vacation!
I anticipate defeating him with actuals. Still a poor performance.
