I think the thing that contributes to these meltdowns about a movies legs or opening in case of Pika is the unreasonably high expectations/predictions some people make or have after a certain number. Instead of looking at the whole picture, they take it and choose what piece to analyse to come to a ridiculous prediction or expectation for that movie. People in here were throwing around a billion in the domestic market before even waiting for the rest of the week or the 2nd weekend like a billion in NA was a nothing feat. So what ever that movie made after that day or the weekend will only be disappointing because of how highly unlikely their predictions were to begin with.

I love how chill he has been about everything ever since Man of Tai Chi (a favourite of mine) and I am guessing he always has been that kind of a guy. He always riding his bike to everywhere and stopping for fans and giving them all his attention.

He looks like a guy in a new series from HBO called Warrior.

This is exactly how I feel about this trilogy and The Raid 1 & 2, I wish there was a third already for The Raid movies.

That isn't really good considering IW was facing a 125m opener that weekend unlike EG's JW3 competition.

I haven't listened to 90% of the music since the 2010s willingly. The most have been accidently through compilations of youtube videos on YT.

I am not denying that it could, but so far all we have seen is growth and I am going with that. We have been seeing movies break into new territories regarding each overseas market, that didn't look possible pre-2010s. And I don't really care what movie gets there or doesn't. No matter what movie that has the potential to get there will be exciting to follow and I will be rooted for it to get there, because I like for the box office of the movie to keep developing.

This wasn't about Avatar. I think you made it be that. We were discussing movies in general. It never started with Avatar, I mentioned Avatar once to show the scale in which the Chinese market grew, not saying it was gonna do more or less.

That's how many movies made over a billion each year and as you see since 2010 we had 31 movies make over a billion and 3 over 2bn. Before that we had only 5 movies make over a billion.

All we need is that a movie in 1997 made 1.8BN and 10 years later another made 2.8BN. And since 2015 we have had 3 movies make over 2BN globally.

Avatar even made 204m back in 2009 and that was AEG's opening weekend alone almost.

The box office of movies and how well known music celebrities are don't correlate in any form or shape. Take that bullshit somewhere else.

That’s the most bullshit argument I have ever read and that has nothing to do with the movie industry at all. What everyone else is saying is backed by past events of movies in every region in the world regarding box office. Every market is growing every year and local movies and foreign ones co-exist. You know what the second and third highest grossing movie in Japan are? TITANIC & FROZEN respectively.

And you’re from the future, so you’re not basing your assumptions on assumptions. So you replied to all those posts that were saying don’t put a cap on box office perfomances through your assumptions, by throwing more assumptions of why your assumption is right and others are not.

We all now Captain Marvel 2 will be the first movie to dethrone Avatar.
