Holy shit, that number reinforces my 4M prediction here in Germany.

How does Pixar‘s boxoffice history look like in France?
-
I didn‘t expect I2 to keep it‘s over 10M streak alive. By Sunday it will have 16 consecutive days over $10M, which movie helds the record?

Do you guys think Pixar is going the Toy Story route with the 3rd installment having a considerable time jump? I‘m sure Pixar has something like that in mind for the sequel, otherwise they‘d have already done that in I2.

I never believed when people said they expected a bit more from Toy Story 3 back in 2010, it was the #1 movie of the year after all. But I2‘s bo performance keeps me thinking....

What do you guys think for I2 bo potential? Over/under Dory?

False Alarm apparently, only a movie set in Mos Eisley has been put on hold.

Only 104 days left until the release in my country😓

It's karma doing its job. Sure it made 600+, but only Clones among SW eps will have spent less time than TLJ in the DOM top 10 at this rate. Good job universe, perfectly balanced.
Keep TLJ out of this thread ffs

But dropping more than 50%, mmmh, if it holds well next weekend, I take everything back and really just was the WC (a drop of 10% should be doable or even a flat hold)
I‘m not so sure about a flat hold for JW2, Brasil plays Friday afternoon and Germany‘s next match is set for Saturday evening. The WC is ruthless.

Is it just me or does every princess in this trailer have the same facial structure?

In a side note: Donald Glover has the #1 song and movie in the country atm, when was the last time this happened?

The funny thing is TLJ fanboys get enraged if you say that the film drags because it's thin subplots don't work as well as they should. And no, the Canto Bight sequence doesn't work, deal with it. It doesn't matter that it's only 12 minutes, what matter is that it feels twice that long.
I‘m enjoying it way more now, the new theme is my favorite from the soundtrack, all these costumes are awesome, the humor is growing on me, although I still don‘t like the Fathiers. I get it, the scene isn‘t perfect, the same with Bespin in ESB.

Black panther 1.5 million behind TLJ, worldwide. 2 marvel movies beating the latest Star Wars main sequel in the span of a few months.
Why downplay a movie? I‘d say every movie did quiet well, maybe TLJ‘s audience reception will get better over time like it was for ESB, if not that‘s okay. I love it and I liked the 2 last Mervel movies.

Luke‘s end-off was perfectly executed in the movie, I couldn’t have asked for a better ending of his arc. Lecturing his nephew with wisdom and spirituality rather than fighting, paying the ultimate price the keep the spark alive to become the legend Rey and the galaxy need him to be.

Am I the only person left on the internet who didn't hate TLJ? And did I not hate it precisely because I don't much care for Star Wars in general, so it felt like it was made for me?
The movie is widely adored by many, and hated by a sizable amount of people as well. I personally love this movie, I watched it yesterday again for the first time at home in 4k and it was glorious. And The Director And The Jedi docu makes it even better.

Correct, even adjusted for inflation
Wasn‘t it confirmed that TFA cracked $100M in 24h or something?

WOOOOOOOO
I must say this : for me , that IW breaking the OW record is so special. Much special than TFA was. When TFA opened to $57M on Thursday night , we all already know that it will take the OW record by a large margin.
But IW doing it with a great $39M previews but still much less that TFA which create all the doom and gloom in this forum coupled that with low opening Friday prediction from Deadline and others ( $225M OW could be in danger) . But since then , Our gods bless us with their numbers and it keeps going higher for OD ( breaking true Friday record ) and now breaking Sat record by a wide margin. This reminds me of that out of nowhere Record breaking OW by JW but in much bigger and larger scale.
And now I just waiting for That 'Congratulations' post from Star Wars division
IW numbers are mighty impressive, but let me remind you that TFA broke the record by a huge margin in freaking DECEMBER, the weekend before Christmas.

Weather is so good in in the East, hopefully the estimates will stay over 1M adm tomorrow.
-
If IW1 doesn‘t take the OW crown this weekend, I don‘t know which movie will. Certainly not Ep9, Avengers 4 or Lion King.

What a refreshing little movie, I wish this would be more successful.

Okay, so some rough maths here...
BP - 202M
T:R - 122M
SMH - 117M
GOTG2 - 146M
DS - 85M
CA:CW - 179M
AM - 57M
They're the OWs, so combine them all to get 908M.
So AIW OW = 908M
#BadMath
IW coming for that sweet 0,5 multiplier
