That's homophobia.
Godzilla doesn't qualify for homophobia since he's not a homo....anything.

Monsterverse going straight Fast & Furious now. To be expected I guess but I feel like these films are just gonna get dumber and dumber.
I mean, I'm still gonna see it but I'm expecting like a 30 RT on this thing -
Probably doesn't do $15M OS total.

At what point can we admit that Apple's gamble on filmmakers might, in fact, lose them money in the long run?
The day they started making films. When did anyone think it would be anything else but a money loser?

Is 25M highly likely at this point? If it does 12M today like the article suggests and has 5M previews. It would need to do 8M on Sat+Sun combined.
$11-12M is with previews. True Friday is in the $5-6M range. Sat+Sun will combine for about $10M.

Well it will have to be abysmal to only hit the 15-20 range from that tracking was suggesting.
Yea that’s most likely the range it’ll be in. Had Eras done a traditional release, it probably would have made about $30M in previews on its way to a $100-105M OW. I don’t expect Renaissance to have legs much different than that just because it’s smaller.- 1

can renaissance open with 20M? Variety and some others are saying 17-20m range
Shawn’s estimate is $18M.- 3

You think 20m can't happen?
Im not saying it definitely can’t, I’m just saying that’s not where I’m seeing it get to. -

Renaissance MTC1
Previews(T-2) - 102079/337035 2567757.00 1767 shows
Friday - 86787/775940 2203593.00 3819 shows
Still the pace is non existent.
Hard to see this opening with a number that’s starts with a 2…Pencil me in for $14-17M.

someone said its opening below 20m OW
Very likely if that previews number ends up being accurate. -

Assuming they’re right and this comes in under $3.5 million for previews I’m not even sure it’ll get over $15 million. The fan base is much less broad and I see no reason to expect a heavier walk up rate.- 1

Can bey beat hunger games next weekend?
It would take a pretty bad result from Renaissance for it not to. HG should go below $17M.

but it would make more than 2.6 because there are other regions that will be added, hence our 4-5m prediction?
Sacramento is performing fairly weak for it which is why it's lower than what other regions/national metrics indicate.
1 hour ago, Jake4 said:i just saw taylor did 2.8m in previews for thursday
Yep, but unlike Renaissance which launched presales with Thursday tickets, Eras only added them on Wednesday night the day before previews. If Eras had a traditional run and launched with previews from the beginning, I estimate it would have made $25-30M.

Everything..lol. Is it the tracking for Nov 30? and what indication is it showing
Thanks
Yes it's for previews on November 30th and it currently indicates that total sales for that day in his region are at 0.77089x what Eras Tour final for Thursday was. He also did a 20% adjustment upwards to account for the increased ticket pricing.
It indicate that as of right now, if his rejoin was what the entire country was looking like, Renaissance would make about $2.6M on Thursday. -

Where are these numbers coming from lol? I don't think tracking suggests a $30M opening at all. Unless BOP has different samples. 🤷♂️
BOP uses different metrics than just extrapolating based off presale data.

with 3.5m previews that will put it in the 20m range, similar to napoleon.
Nah it’s going to be much less walkups friendly than any type of “standard” film just due to the nature of its product. I’m looking for a 4-4.5x previews to OW ratio.

what do you predict for the previews? i think it will do around 4-5m
Yes that’s my expectation as well though if walkups are as poor for it as the were for Eras, it may be more like $3.5-4M previews and $15-20M OW. -
Just now, Jake4 said:
20-25m ?
Yes -
My OW expectation at this point is still in the low 20’s and around $40-45M total.
