Better than Titanic 4th weekend?
Well, the estimate is 1,07M to 1,069M so it's a narrow lead - but it seems to be a lead. So yes. After 25 years we might have a new fourth weekend record!

3rd Trend
Avatar 2 1,07M (+0%) 6,45M - is it really happening? 👀

Just as a reminder:
It would be nice if you guys would at least name the source of most of the german numbers over here. that's including trends as well as official charts.
There's someone out there working hard to privide those numbers with insidekino.de.
At least give him the traffic he deserves instead of just copying the numbers.
You are right. I do it mostly when I take bigger chunks of data but I guess I should do it more often. I'm really thankful for that page.

Agree, but I don't want to jinx it.
Nonetheless, 6.38m after this weekend is really great and 2m more should most likely happen after this weekend. (Could probably drop close to 40% next weekend and still have a solid shot at 8m)
If it dropped 40% next WE it'd still approach 7,2M already. I really can't see it missing 8M at this point - it just shouldn't start to drop that bad after the kind of holds it had (even dropping like RO after this WE it'd get to 7,93M and it won't do that bad - RO dropped 57% in its 5th WE)
9M still isn't certain but it is far from improbable and has a quite realistic shot.

as expected, estimates went up, for all releases:
#1: Avatar2 - 1000k
#2: PiB2 - 250k
#3: Fortune - 135k
Wow. This is beautiful. And a great weekend ahead. Maybe at last Avatar has this kind of spillover effect as it reminds people of the beauty of cinema.
At this point 8,5M seems like the low end and 9M doesn't require great holds. I always hoped for it to be this big but that it is is still kinda unreal 👀
Next WE will show at last if this trend continues even after the holidays but this 4th WE probably shows already that it does.

Maybe around 6.5m after this weekend

900k will lead to 6,28M though, not 6,5M

Portugal Box Office
€4.680.865 / 656.589 admits Until THU
So it already passed TG:M in €. I guess passing that movie in admissions (715k) is possible until Sunday.

1st Trend
#Avatar-900k(-15.7%)
#PiB-225k(+9.2%)
#Operation Fortune-125k(New)
6,28M admissions and €84M+ ($89M+) after Sunday. Also the 4th biggest 4th WE ever (between HP1 938k and LOTR1 811k) and close to the 10th biggest week (needs 919k) - so a 4th 1M+ week (and again 4th biggest) already in the bag.
The orange panther is doing great too. Already close to the million after the WE (967, 5k).

Yesterday, on Tuesday, Avatar 2 cracked the Top 10 highest grossing movies in Germany with €69,1M from 5,15M admissions. After Sunday it should be around €82M+ and #6 - though I hope for #5 passing FotR (€83,12M).

Okay, I guess, 640k weekdays won't be easy though with that.
Probably more like 550k for the weekdays.
Though the InsideKino prediction has it at 6,2M after Sunday of an 854k WE which would be ~640k midweek and in theory he should know a bit more about the numbers... So I still hope for a week that high.

Needs 1,283,724 Admissions for that.
Taking RO weekdays to the weekend ratio for 3rd week, the weekdays should be 640k and the following weekend 735k, that alone would mean 6090k.
I too thought it was locked to happen but this
13 hours ago, charlie Jatinder said:9M looked like a lock if it had followed Rogue One for next 3 days but yeah MON isn't looking as big as it would have, so 9M is no longer lock
made me think it's lower than following RO.

As of Sunday Avatar 2 is the 18th highest grossing movie at the german BO, €63,49M from 4,716M admissions. ATP is down to 13,46€.
Still hoping for 6M admissions next Sunday and €80M cume...
List of highest grossing movies in Germany:
https://www.insidekino.de/DJahr/DAlltime100bo.htm
And it just had the 9th biggest 3rd WE:

This would be enough for the 9th best 3rd WE and it should pass 6M next WE, if it follows RO - and it held better until now.

You are so quick - and even if it barely misses the 3rd weekend for 10th place on 4th weekend only about 680k are needed.
Just got the notification from Twitter 👀
And playing like RO it'd reach 600k midweek - which would be good enough for 5th biggest 3rd week. Even if it doesn't do that great, 1,33M will be enough to top SW7 for 10th best so it's getting there in any case.

Avatar 2:
1st WE: 68,3k
2nd WE: 62,8k (-8%) 172k
It seems like RO (and even the same WE 2016, where drops were much worse) isn't a good comparison here as that one fell hard every WE...

-
Avatar 2nd WE:
151k (-45%) 666k
http://www.insidekino.com/BO/ARG2022.htm
I'm not that familiar with Argentina BO. RO made 6,2x its 2nd WE which would mean around ~1,6M, though it decreased while others increased - FB1 added 10x its 6th WE, so is something like that (and therefore 2M+) possible too?
- 2
-
So Avatar will be around 4,55M at Sunday. Following RO again it'd reach 5,7M+ next WE - it's holding better though so hopefully it'll be more like 5,8M+ already.
