  1. tv shows always continue until they get bad... just end the damn thing while it's still good have some integrity.
  2. @WrathOfHan https://www.moviefone.com/2018/05/31/james-cameron-avatar-sequels-3d-technology/ thought I'll give a source for once
  3. Jim very much still is on the 3D bandwagon and plans on revolutionising it in the Avatar sequels. I really doubt that the 3D on Alita will be average so it's probably unfinished.
  4. The real answer we want to know is which movie was the most successful, the problem is it's hard to measure things from different era. Titanic vs Gone with the Wind? Which is more impressive? The population of America was much less when Gone With the Wind was released, ticket prices were different comparatively to dollar strength. Gone with the Wind was in a time before home video, the only way to rewatch would be go to the cinema again and to re-release the film. Also cinema could have been far more popular at one time than the other, making it numbers less or more impressive. It's so tricky almost to the point of making trying to compare them pointless. It's best just to compare films of the same era against each other.
  5. Just wait for A2,3,4 and 5 to bring in a combined 15b dollars and being the ultimate saga of all time. Even dulalalalalaladub will have to worship Jim
  6. What is it that drives duddab to criticise the Jim gang whenever dublub can? Could it be because dudedab is Star Wars or Marvel fan hurt by Jim gang calling out mediocrity? Perhaps an Avatar hater who thinks "it did'nt derserve that gross".
  7. Exactly why it would be shocking, as I said the award was made specifically for BP
  8. The bar drops every year he's away from film-making, I dread to see how far it has dropped just before Dec 2020.
  9. We are back! Didn't vote for either but respectable, Belle especially.
  10. It probably seems that way because of his track record. 7 for 7 with films, a bunch of oscars and the ultimate reward of billies upon billies mad, hard to fault the guy. AVATAR TITANIC TRUE LIES T2 THE ABYSS ALIENS THE TERMINATOR
  11. *blind* worship This is a box office forum and James Cameron is the current box office champion, the only director that holds a candle to Jim is Steven Spielberg but the 80's and 90's were his era. As seen with RP1 he doesn't have it in him to make a Jim tier big budget high spectacle extravaganza any more. As well as being the man that gave us TITANIC and AVATAR he also is an incredible role model and fights for righteous causes. Don't forget what he did in deep sea exploration would be seen as an incredible feat for someone in that field, no ocean too deep and box office that's steep. That is JAMES 'Jim' CAMERON. Dudadadadalab, perhaps your criticism would be more valid if there was a reason NOT to revere Jim. I'm yet to hear one.
  12. Just had a wet dream where Alita beat Black Panther to win "popular picture" oscar despite it being made purposely for Black Panther.
  13. Steven was so memorable in the first film, we’re privileged to have him back. I’m not going to say exactly HOW we’re bringing him back, but it’s a science fiction story, after all. His character will evolve into really unexpected places across the arc of our new three-film saga. I really look forward to working with such a gifted actor, who’s also become a good friend. -Cameron
  14. No no, he's back for all 4 films and is the main villain. Lang said Jim told him how Quaritch will come back to life in 2009.
  15. 1.3b? That's still 90m less than 0.5A... I mean if you're a big blockbuster and can't make just HALF of Avatar, are you really a big blockbuster?
  16. you purposely forgetting the most obvious answer? What's the point of changing for 2009 XR but not accounting for market sizes or adjusting for inflation.
  17. Well met! Doth thou challenge thy king in box office battle? I cry your mercy.
  18. Cape movies aren't inherently bad, some of the source material is great. The onslaught of mediaocracy over and over again is where me and Jim draw the line, come on dudadabalab, there are other stories to tell besides hyper-gonadal males without families doing death-defying things for two hours and wrecking cities in the process. It’s like, oy!
  19. I have to go with clones and stored memories. They grow Avatar's on the Adventure Star over the 4 years they're travelling. They 100% can clone and create a fully grown adult human body, the tricky part is the memories.
  20. Alita club for those who haven't seen it. Are you with or against the legendary film-making James 'Jim' Cameron?
