Color me impressed with the Zootopia hold - I really thought I had underestimated how much it would fall on Sunday - not how little it would fall! One more good hold and the 300m club is practically secured.
I dunno. As big of a fanbitch I am for Zootopia, I'd like to see Monday's numbers before I say for sure.

I've tried two different browsers and the > in the bar won't change the page. Honestly have no idea why it's not working. Can someone do me a favor and give me my results from weeks 9 and 10? Let's not make it a thing; this is already embarrassing enough.
Try clicking on the numbers.

I CAN'T. HOW DO YOU IT? The results for the last two weeks show the top 20 and the scroll underneath but it doesn't go anywhere.
At the very bottom, there is a page selection button panel. If it's not there, you might be using the wrong browser.

What happened to Deadpool on Box Office Mojo? It was at 328 but now it's at 325.
All other sources say $328 million.

Quick question: Are there rankings if you're outside the top 20?
Yeah. You just have to go to the second or third page.

Alright, Zootopia! Hopefully all the weekends are adjusted up.

I sure hope they nominate Zootopia for Original Screenplay. but they'd have to nominate at least 7 people.

Zootopia will at least get nominated for Animated Feature and Song. Right now Original Screenplay looks weak enough but there's plenty of time for that to change.
You really think "Try Everything" will get an Oscar nod?

@cannastop one of the best features of this board is the ignore feature. If you hover over a person's name on the left it will give you some options one of which is ignore - you can then choose what you want to ignore and if you ignore their posts you don't have to see them. Great way to hide posters that bother you without getting into flame wars.
Bit of advice
Nah bro, I have just plain old mental ignore.

i haven't seen it yet but i typed "zootopia movie" into google and watching some clips right now it seems pretty edgy to me. really pushing the boundaries of what i thought could happen in a studio animated film.... oh wait. actually my phone autocorrected the search to "zoophilia movie" never mind.
OK, you got me.

k. Contrary to my username, I actually stopped. Not even going to pay attention to that person anymore.

I've seen the movie. Zootopia is not an edgy movie.
I respect your opinion, mainly because you have an idea what you're talking about.

@cannastop Look, man, we all know you love the film, but there is a line of acceptable fanboyism and right now you're crossing it
Eh, I'm more frustrated at how obtuse that poster is. Not actually gonna stop if this person continues on the same line.

Zootopia ain't happening. Especially with two other possible animated contenders this year including another from Disney
Do you really think they'll be liked as much? It would be hard to top Zootopia on Rotten Tomatoes.

I didn't say the film wasn't edgy, I said making an animated film appeal to adults is not edgy. Learn to read.

QuoteThe last thing you'd expect from a new Disney animated marshmallow is balls. But, hot damn, Zootopia comes ready to party hard. This baby has attitude, a potent feminist streak, a tough take on racism, and a cinema-centric plot that references The Godfather, Chinatown and L.A. Confidential.

QuoteFive minutes into the film, and after a few laughs, though, it became clear that beneath its clever puns Zootopia‘s actually a sharp-witted commentary on modern race relations.
Many commentators have noted that this film goes far beyond usual in appealing to an adult audience.

My opinion of a film might change if I watch it?
You were the one trying to judge if this film is edgy without even seeing it, dipshit.

Plenty of animated movies address social issues and aim their jokes and references at adults - so that parents can enjoy it too. I haven't seen Zootopia but by your description, there is nothing edgy about it.
Trust me, actually seeing Zootopia tends to influence your opinion about it.

Yea I decided to lower Japan a bit (-30m) as I think I over-estimated it.
I also reduced my UK figure.
But 880 or 940 are both amazing numbers nevertheless for an original film no one expected to be that huge
Isn't it a crapshoot? It's over a month until the Japanese release.

How is Zootopia edgy?
Well, it's subtle. It addresses issues that very few movies acknowledge, and it's all under the guise of a cute funny animal story.
SpoilerHow about the moment where Judy reaches for her fox repellent after Nick chews her out for her press conference.

"Go see Zootopia 'cos you've already seen Deadpool"
In what elemental plane does that make sense?
Deadpool was the new edgy movie that broke out big.
Now Zootopia is the new edgy movie that's breaking out big.

One of my friends took her son and said she enjoyed it more than he did.
Yeah, I've heard many reports of only adults laughing. My ten year old sister saw this movie (not with me) and she complained that it wasn't funny and that only grownups laughed. I guess 10 is about the right age when you think critically about movies, but not old enough to get most of the jokes.
Hell, I even heard this exchange when I left the auditorium.
Dad: How did you like it?
12-year-old daughter: It was good.
10-year old son: Good.
Dad: It was awesome!
