As to be expected, we are getting a lot of Fan Denial  about the recoption of this film.

Like one rave review from a  geek blooger is going to change everything.

Aren't you tired of trying to be negative and bring down anything that's a bit positive about this movie?
    What is your problem??

Different kinds of movies. CBMs are always heavier on pre-sales than something like TF, and that franchise is also critic-proof in a way that DC really isn't

Things changed tho, maybe the pandemic made people get used to the fact that they can walk to the cinema without pre-ordering tickets.
The Hype around The Flash is far above anything that Black Adam had.

Eh, with the way WB was hyping it up, you would think it would be in the 90%+.

What can they do if some critics are focusing on the person behind the fictional character instead of critic
the actual movie and his performance?

I mean, I know people don't want go hear this, but THE BATMAN performed at the BOTTOM of its potential.

And also I don't see any young fans raving about Robert Pattison,
It feels like The Batman appealed more to olden audiences.
Personally I found it the most boring Batman movie to date, but maybe it's because I love elements of sci-fi / supernatural
    in comic book movies.

How come it's OK for Fans to have biases, but not critics?

Because critics are supposed to analyze the movie and it's story / characters, not the real person behind the character.
A critic that can't seperate the art from the artist should not review the movie at all.

Ya this has been a constant as a fan of dc movies over the last decade, granted the company hasn’t done much to help themselves but it is exhausting following certain movies I’ve been excited for, this thread being a perfect example. It’s kinda hard to escape anywhere tbh cause social media is bad as well.

Oh well, I’m hoping Gunns reboot can change some people’s attitudes towards future dc projects.

Sadly it won't cause the DC fanbase is very fractured.
The biggest mistake was not letting Snyder finish his arc, it will haunt them for years ahead.
The new Superman actor will need to deal with a lot of trolls out there.
I think that Gunn is making a huge mistake as well in casting yet another new Batman instead of waiting for Reeves to
    finish his Batman stories.

Regardless of the final quality, I have never seen so many people rooting for a movie to fail in my life. Following The Flash has been so exhausting, and with the amount of vitriol online surrounding every single aspect of this movie, I'm now fully expecting this vitriol to extend to some critics' reviews even if the movie is good.

That's beyond anyone's control, if you like the movie then just go watch it to support it.
Money is the only thing that will make or break a movie.

i don't think keaton fans will be the majority for this movie, some will come out but its still gonna be dominated by the same demo that dominates all CBM's

I'm don't know about that, I saw many many Youtubers reacting to trailers with their parents, and I saw
    several cry when Keaton appeared.
People forget about MoS fans as well, I'm pretty sure many of them will wanna watch Zod & Faora fighting Supergirl.
