He isn't the lead. And also, he's about to be doomed as well, it's not like they're giving Hollywood is giving him a free pass, he's being dropped from everywhere lmao.
Marvel already based a huge tentpole on him, he had Creed III success & a movie with some Oscar buzz (Magazine Dreams).
He's way more successful than Ezra Miller, and unlike Ezra he was actually charged with assault.
Ezra was charged on stealing liquor, nothing beyond that so far. -

Also are you even gonna bother mentioning at least one example of those "worse than Ezra" people that are the leads of a massive blockbuster nowadays? 'Cause I sure as hell can't. Last time I saw Tom Holland didn't go on an insane Hawaii assault brigade.
Jonathan Majors.
Seems weird you forgot about him. -

Saying Flash will get huge walk ups that will make up for weaker presales seems like wishful thinking. Indy 5 is a better example of a film that should get huge walk ups. Yet people seem to have written that one off from presales
But the reactions for Indy 5 were mixed to negative unlike The Flash.- 1

Oh so you think Flash will open to half of The Batman? Because that's what pre-sales are saying.
Civil War had The Avengers and Spider-Man. It didn't make it an Avengers level movie
Personally I think it will open with 100M+
Wonder Woman was tracking at 65M 3 weeks before the movie was out
and had 11M thursday preview which led to a 103M OW.
I believe The Flash will do more than 11M.- 1

Why are you choosing to compare to The Batman, a character who has a massive fanbase including Pattinson fans, and not Black Adam and Shazam?
Maybe because the movie has 2 Batmans in it.- 2

Correct me if I'm wrong, ec doesn't have any additional presales info, he just gets it all from here. I don't recall him adding anything to the thread when he was posting here
hmm I don't think this is accurate, from what I remember he had his sources as well.
(and I've just realised he's not posting here anymore 😳)- 3

Excel Sense is tingling here ala TRANSFORMERS 1, IRON MAN 1, STARK TREK, JURASSIC WORLD...
Large-scale crowd pleasing films ALWAYS trend upwards. ALWAYS.
Nobody cares about the DCEU history if the film is good. The stench around DC was much greater when Wonder Woman opened to $100m in 2017 and Aquabro followed up with $1.2b
True!
I don't know, I feel like The Flash is gonna be something special
Wonder Woman 2017 was also tracking around 65M 3 weeks before it launched.

You can be interested in how DC films do at the box office, but not be a fan of the DCU.
This is a box office discussion page, not a fan page.
It's not a fan page, but it's also not a page to bring your constant negativity for the sake of negativity.

Are middle aged people who grew up on keaton really gonna buy tickets the moment they go on sale? Especially for a movie where he's just a support
Their kids will do that for them and he's in 50% of the movie. -
Box Office Pro early tracking for The Flash: 115M - 140M.

-
2 Batmans, Supergirl, Flash, Wonder Woman + various cameos, Snyderverse + Reboot & 1 year of building hype.
This should easily clear 100M.- 2

It feels a little desperate by WB. I don't see other studios doing this in terms of marketing, trying to get as many celerbity recommends as possible.
Also Kings audience is something I just don't see being interested in the Flash in the first place.
Or there's a possibility this movie is something special.
Also there's the obvious IT connection, so he
probably got a personal invitation by Andy Muschietti.- 3

Tom frickin' Cruise said this movie is great. I don't need any more affirmation beyond this.

Which is pretty much the best thing to do. It may be a bit desperate (and I think they're showing way too much already), but...they kinda have to go this route. Let's see if it works.
I saw a few Youtubers that watched the movie and they've said the trailers spoiled almost nothing
so far.

If Gunn makes an earnest, buoyant, inspiring Superman movie with the current CBM fatigue, it could be the best reviewed of any of these in a minute.
He'll need nothing less than a miracle to achieve that. -

Ehh what?? Is this a spoiler??
Deadline's article list her as part of the movie's actors lineup, so I guess not?- 1

I'm so happy Wonder Woman is in it after all (and hoping Michelle Pfeiffer has a cameo as well.)

the movie will be shit. I hope Keaton enjoyed the paycheck.
Very compatible to your profile's name.
I love these boards but the level of negativity here is astounding 😒

This looks phenomenal! 😍
I wasn't excited that much for a DC movie since Wonder Woman 2017.

It's not a regular DC movie, it has a huge nostalgia factor.
