Will X-Men manage to finish this weekend, with at least 400 million worldwide?
Overseas grosses haven't been updated for a while, we have China release and a bit of money from domestic weekend. I'm really curious about overseas performance.

Smart fans should have accepted by now that Warcraft will flop in the USA and moved on to keeping an eye on the Asian and European gross, really. Just take the hit like a champ, you know. Fans being fans though...
Still, Warcraft should make for a fascinating movie to follow regarding its gross. How much does China and OS in general truly matter? How much from there is enough to guarantee a sequel to a blockbuster? We may be about to find out.
Producers only get 20-25% from China's grosses. Domestic grosses are still important, because that's the place where producers get a higher piece of money ( usually 50-60% ). Usually, producers only keep about 1/3 from overseas grosses.
So, Warcraft budget is 160 million + money spent on marketing/promotion/advertising.
There are domestic predictions showing Warcraft might have a final domestic gross of less than 50 million.
So, let's imagine that Warcraft makes 50 million domestic, 300 million in China and 200 million ( from other countries ).
50% of 50 million would be 25 million. The rest goes o theaters and distributors.
25% of 300 million ( China ) would be 75 million.
1/3 of 200 million ( around the world minus China ) would be more or less 66 million, give or take it.
So, producers will get 25 + 75 + 66 = 166 million. That would mean disaster and no sequels, given the huge budget.
Why do producers keep making such expensive movies, it's beyond me. As bad as Resident Evil movies were, they were always cheap ( the last one will have a budget of 90 million ) and they kept making a nice profit, which is why we'll see a 6th movie.

Perhaps the Rose McGowan's article might give a boost to X-Men, this weekend.
I'll laugh a lot if that happens.
Please!

Fox should be glad that TMNT 2 might flop, Alice is flopping...
These flops might help X-Men in the long haul. At least, most of the articles will be about them.

If Turtles are out of the shadows, they better come back to where they came from. Numbers are dark!

#TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles #OutOfTheShadows earned $1.4M from Thursday night shows. Analysis to follow...
Wait what???
I think that number is for MBY...

Oh God, what if X-Men beats TMNT 2 this weekend?
I think everything is possible. That would be crazy.

$2m previews for TMNT2.
Less than half of what the first movie got...Damn...
Not a good sign for TMNT 2.

I'm curious about TMNT 2... Almost nobody is talking about the movie. IMDB forum is empty, online discussions are rare...
I wouldn't be shocked to see a twist happening, with X-Men defeating TMNT 2.

Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are the Evans and Downey Jr of Fox's X-Men Universe.
Wolverine 3 is rated R and has a budget of 127 million, according to reports.
Deadpool 2 is already confirmed.
Fox has no reasons to be sad if Apocalypse doesn't make a huge money. They already got a huge profit with Deadpool. It's quite the opposite, Fox should be glad that Alice is flopping, Warcraft might underperform and TMNT 2 might fail to match the previous movie.
I still keep my 610 million prediction for Apocalypse, though!
-
Wow!! Alice's numbers are really depressing.
I doubt this movie will even make 300 million worldwide. It's losing to X-Men, it'll probably lose several theaters to Warcraft and TMNT 2.
-
Kinberg needs to go
Jennifer Lawrence needs to go
Singer can stay, either as a producer or director
The rest is fine. Wolverine 3 is still happening ( though I don't know when exactly this movie happens. Is it set after Apocalypse or after DOFP future? ), Deadpool 2, X-Force will happen for sure.

What is the ticket price?
Very high. 3D is actually 2 times more expensive than the 2D one.
In dollars, I have no idea considering we have the Real here. However, I paid almost 30 reais for a ticket alone. So, I guess something like $10 or something like that. I'm bad at these things, lol.

APOC already 34m behind DOFP (90.6 vs 124.5)
After this second weekend, we'll probably have a good idea about what numbers should be expected for its final domestic gross.
-
DOFP made 5 million and something, at this point.

Warcraft gets its release date here, finally.
Too bad that most of the copies are dubbed, which is hilarious. Movie is called Meeting of Two Words, by the way.
I'll try to avoid the 3D version and the dubbed one, but there are few places screening the original version ( 2D ). These bastards can try, but I won't pay that insane ticket price, lol.

It cant have legs with WC 5 day later and FD 2 weeks later
Maybe WC will be heavily front-loaded then?
We don't know its legs yet. I'm curious.

Which somehow helps X-men's legs? LOL.
Well, I think X-Men will have better legs than BVS. Sure, BVS made much more money, but I'm talking about legs.
You can compare both movies performance if you want.

But, it also has a different picture when it comes to competition. BvS did not have to deal with Warcraft.
That's why i said Warcraft presales are hurting X-Men.
X-Men is facing huge competition, unlike BVS.

Wow, presales for Apocalypses haven't picked up, it is trailing BVS by a lot.
It may only make less than 500M yuan..
Probably Warcraft presales are preventing X-Men from picking up...
BVS had toxic word of mouth everywhere. X-Men seems to have much better word of mouth, around the world, despite huge competition. I expect X-Men to have better legs in the long haul, unlike BVS, which simply disappeared and stopped making money. lol

It's only gonna get worse with The BFG and Pete's Dragon.
Don't forget the reports of the new Star Wars not testing well, and the reshoots....

So, I guess 1.2 billion worldwide for Civil War is out of reach now. Movie made 15 million overseas, so overseas grosses are almost dead.
Numbers are fine, but legs are disappointing. You don't spend more money than Iron Man 3 and you don't bring almost every Avenger to a movie that makes less than a solo Iron Man flick. No spin can change that.
Marvel probably spent more money ( how much money was spent for promotion? ), gave Civil War a bigger budget, but somehow the movie miss Iron Man 3 number. Sorry, but this is disappointing. It might look like cool if you pretend to think this is a solo Cap movie, but let's not go there, right?
Fine numbers, disappointing legs.

X-Men Apocalypse dropped only 17%, for its second weekend.
That's insanely amazing! Not surprised due the good word of mouth here. My friends, parents, bosses all loved it.

In terms of quality he does . The exorcism of Emily rose is the best horror movie of the last 20 years and deliver us from evil is a way above average action/horror movie . Fantastic choice for dr. Strange .
Does Derrickson even have a fresh movie on his resume?
Other than Sinister ( 61% on RT ), everything else was hated by critics.
It's nice that Olivia Munn was in one of his movies ( Deliver Us From Evil )
