  1. The numbers for The Fall Guy and Tarot aren't good. Tarot is the usual Screen Gems joint ( meaning it was crappy, but wasn't that expensive ), so it might recoup some money in the long haul. Is there any good Screen Gems horror flick? The Unholy got a C+ CinemaScore and The Grudge ( 2020 ) got an F CinemaScore. So, Tarot getting a C- was predictable

The Fall Guy has a insanely high budget for the kind of movie it wants to be. A budget of 130 million ( some reports say it's higher ) plus whatever was spent with marketing ( it wasn't small. I swear I saw this trailer everywhere ). I haven't watched it yet ( may give it a chance once it gets a home release ), but the trailer did nothing to me. I wasn't impressed at all. The premise was very meta, imo. I usually dislike the idea of movies about movies. This movie is 100% focused on a Hollywood movie about a stunt guy trying to find a missing Hollywood star. Not excited to see it.

All in all, I went to see Garfield and I'm glad I made the right choice. :)

  2. Not surprised by the lack of general interest in The Fall Guy. Are general audiences interested to see a Hollywood movie about a stung guy trying to find a Hollywood star? The whole concept is way too much meta, imo.

Hopefully the twist isn't that the bad guy is called David Zaslav, because I can seasily see that happening in movies like this.

I usually dislike the concept of movies about movies. It's quite limited on its own and defeats the idea of fiction. This and actors playing themselves in a movie about Hollywood, wich this seems to be. Pass.

"This movie that explicitly revolves around the multiverse is not part of the multiverse saga" do you people hear yourselves. People are bending over backwards to explain how this one likely being a success magically doesn't count

This movie is definitely part of the Multiverse ( and heavily focused on that ), BUT it's probably getting a good performance because of the main protagonists. The idea of Wolverine and Deadpool together is amazing, no matter what. It's probably going to be a sucess, DESPITE being a Multiverse movie.

It needs good reviews and audience response, though. The idea of 2 major characters together is great, but they need to be in a good movie, though. There are examples showing that bad things can happen if a movie gets bad reviews.

  4. I've just watched it and I was very disappointed. There's no context or explanation about anything. Things happen and just keep happening because they have to happen.

I felt nothing during the finale. Sure, the sound was really good ( I'll give that ) but everything else was basically just anything else. This movie is called Civil War but it refuses to focus on Civil War. It's really weird. Acting wasn't bad , but none of the characters matter in my view.

That ending was so pathetic. I actually liked The Hunt ( 2020 ) much more than that.

I hope they shake things up a bit by having someone survive and stay alive over any potential sequels. It weakens the suspense of these movies when you go in aware that everyone is doomed to meet a ridiculous end.

The movie is called Final Destination. It's quite obvious that the Final Destination is Death. You can't escape death. When a character doesn't die or survive a movie, that just happened because it wasn't her/his time to die. The whole thing is obvious. You can't cheat death, because death always comes and nobody lives forever.

The only thing that needs explanation ( imo ) is why the characters have visions and what's the point of these visions. If they're always meant to die, then what's the point other than Death itself toying with them? lol
