Yes, but the 4-day OW ensures a significantly lower multiplier. With a 80-85 4-days OW, it could struggle to achieve 210-220M.

Yes, pretty close. He actually overestimated it by a bit: he said 15M and it turned out to be 13.5M.

And actually Guru overestimated it yesterday by 1.5M or so, so just imagine if the number actually comes to under 20M. Epic meltdown!

Well, it is a 4-day opening, as opposed to ST09's 3-day opening, it is a sequel, so it is naturally more frontloaded, and it faces FF6, TH3 + Epic next weekend, which also means a smaller screen count, in addition to more competition. Will it have legs better than Indy 4? Definitely. Will it have a 2.75+ multiplier? Highly doubt it.

From the 4-day? Indiana Jones 4 had a 2.5 multiplier for comparison, and the amount of competition is insane in the next few weeks. I think that a 2.75 multiplier is the very maximum it can get, and even that's very generous.

300M domestic is a LOCK? Just curious, what do you predict that the multiplier will be (from the 4-day weekend)?

Yes, but all those movies hit 400M+ whereas Star Trek barely hit 250M. STiD had much more room for improvement.

A sequel decreasing from a supposedly extremely well liked film is not to be expected, usually.

Hmm I think it will have an extremely hard time reaching 250M. Probably like 230-250M. Not hitting ST09's gross.
