In hindsight makes sense, Disney knew that odds are it couldn’t market all four tentpoles (in the span of 10 weeks I think?) of the summer in a highly competitive one for families to the fullest extent without a casualty so saving money now helps later.

On one hand, I’m shocked and a bit disappointed as the trailers were good. On the other hand, this can mean less of these copy paste remakes hopefully causing more original ideas from Disney, and Pikachu benefits for this underperforming as it’ll be the first big PG movie since Dragon 3

May The Drowsy Chaperone A solid musical full of catchy songs and fun characters. What’s not to love? B Call of Duty: On Our Accord So this is going to be the Fast and Furious of CAYOM. Big dumb fun spectacles with likeable characters. I dig it. C+/B- In The Valley @Xillix I love your disaster movies but frankly, this one wasn’t good. The scope of the tornado looking is there but the characters fail to raise on the occasion. Though to be fair, I understand it was rushed but I just wasn’t there. C

Rest of April Miserable Fans: Don’t get me wrong, the leads are good and the satire is good, but for a parody comedy, there’s not much to really laugh at until during the end where we get some good glimpses of the manic energy. C+ Veggies In The Rain It’s cute and inoffensive as it’s nice to see some of my childhood back. Though it could’ve been a way shorter film. C+/B- Best Friends Yeah, I didn’t care for this one either, aside from Tatum and Paul, there’s nothing really special about this one. C/C+

True as I imagine with Blue and Gold 2 and Mass Effect 2 in May and Pigeon 2, Thunderbirds and Scrooge 0.5 in June. July is wide open. Though the five year wait may suit it cinematically as I think V3 is five years later.

I see Awkwafina in this @Blankments, you’re guaranteed a C at worst.

Actually I think the five year wait may help rather than hurt.
