Maybe. Thinking about if I do JT2, I’m going to make it R rated and a low budget flash animated film and attach Tony Leonids (Igor, Emoji Movie), and drop some big name actors but I just think it’s for the best to can it as of now and say it’s on Netflix

I get that but I’m still having second thoughts. If I do it, I’ll use a smaller director but whom is the question. And even then do I realistically want to make a sequel to a bomb (though I can make a cheaply one and made it flash animated and R rated). I wouldn’t mind sending it to Netflix all things considered but I don’t know how or even if that can factor in the game

On the contrary I’m starting to see it fly past $200M easily, Dragon 3 will likely do $140M and Wonder Park and Missing Link are going to flop, Shazam will still attract families but skew older and Disney for right now has enough time to market both where it’s not like the Endgame/Aladdin/TS4/Lion King clusterfuck.

Look I’m going to be honest, I’m having a writers block, had fun writing the first and I also sort of want to vent with Lego 2 underperforming. Though now, I sort of regret putting on their in the first place sort of what you said and also I’m not sure if I want to do one again. If everyone is okay with it, I’ll remove from the schedule and we can act like it never happened.

Pikachu and especially Shazam got great reception at Lego 2, can see both being monster hits.

I’m am also a sucker for musicals so there’s that too. And it’s ambitious is something to be admired. Tiffany Haddish was great in this.

For those of complaining about marketing, I wouldn’t stressed, it killed at Lego 2.

I think they need to start actually marketing their films ala Dreamworks/Illumination and maybe switch to a more worldwide sense of humor since they can’t rely on just America and Canada. The only films that have a lot of potential are Space Jam 2 and Super Pets. Scooby and Cat In The Hat will do decent here but bomb OS and Funko will likely bomb.

This may be my Lego Movie 2 depression talking but I feel animation and family films will underperform this year. Outside of The Lion King and Frozen 2, I think no animated film will go over $325M and a lot underperforming (TS4, Pets 2, Dragon 3), and no family film (PikaPika and Aladdin (the latter will also underperform)) as well mainly due how packed the schedule. Hell those two may barely cross $600M and $400M respectively. It may be 2011/2017 all over again.
