I know I may be flip flopping but the 7:00 PLF Wrinkle showing at my theater is looking strong.

Even in 2015 it was over $600M, and in 2014 it was at $570M. This year we might have under $300M.

I should have My Peoples finished today along with Pigeon and maybe Witches. Tomorrow I’ll finish God Of War and Alpha Flight.

I’ve said it more than once and I’ll say it again, the family films in the summer, mainly Incredibles 2, Christopher Robin and to a lesser extent Hotel Transylvania 3 are going to have a field day due to how weak family movies were this spring.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Panther did more than Both Gnomes and Uprising on that weekend.

True however TJB had way better reviews and arguably more hype and that actually appealing 3D Effect.

One positive for WIT: Gnomes looks like crap anyway and won’t do over $45M DOM should it shouldn’t have strong competition at all.

I’d prefer more WIT than remakes thank you. I’d rather have Disney try than become even more reliant on brands.

WIT although has a PG rating and yes draws families shouldn’t be compared to animated films especially OW. WIT seems imo more young adult skewing than say a Dreamworks movie. We should compare it to Disney’s previous live action efforts. However I’ll be impressed if it does do over $40M.

$30M-$35M seems likely for Wrinkle but where it lands depends on audience reception.

Fun Fact: Only 2 of Cameron’s movies have made more than .25A.

That teaser did make me cry a bit. I grew up on Winnie The Pooh and had all of the Pooh movies on VHS/DVD. This is the first Disney remake I’ve been hyped for.

I think this has a shot over HT3 domestic as number 2 family film of the summer.
