  1. On a side note, while doing a theater report for DH2, Orient and JL, I noticed The Star has Thursday previews and it’s doing somewhat well at my theater surprisingly.
  2. Mad Max had more appeal and more popular than BR. BR2049 definitely isn’t the type of movie that appeals to both critics and GA unlike Fury Road.
  3. He compared the Bruce meeting Flash scene to Tony meeting Spider-Man scene from CW.
  4. BR2049 was never going to connect with the GA, which is sad since it’s the best movie of the year. Ninjago, (which brings me some emotional heartache) like most of WB’s animated films suffered from bad marketing and in Ninjago’s case mixed reviews. Animation is the one thing they don’t know how to market. If WB got better at marketing their animated movies, I think they’d get bigger numbers. Trust me, now that Thor is gone, JL will be marketed everywhere.
  5. It could be due to WB’s new marketing strategy. Once Thor leaves, JL will be marketed everywhere. WB are king at last second marketing just look at Kong.
  6. I understand but if War Machine got accidentally shot down and died (because neither sides tried to kill each other) it would have left more of impact. The Avengers killed one of their own due to the Accords.
  7. Someone (ie War Machine) should’ve died. While CW was a good movie, the one thing I thought that kept it from recapturing the magic during rewatches was a little bit more drama and stakes (and maybe end it on a bit more darker note)
  8. I wonder if hypothetically speaking if Thor steals some of JL’s thunder. I mean both are likely 2 $100M+ CBM openers in a two week time span. I’m expecting Thor’s legs to be a bit weaker than normal but I wonder if JL’s OW will be lower due to proximity. I still think JL will open to $150M+ but I not too sure about it opening above BVS. If any of the mods aren’t okay with this comment, they can delete it.
  9. @Cmasterclay I’m sorry for your loss.
  10. There’s a giant Coco standee for Menomonee Falls theatre with posters plastered all over the theater. I’m starting to think Moana numbers might be possible.
  11. Thor Ragnarok Marcus Menomonee Falls Theater 11/3/17 8:30 pm 90% full Pacific Rim: Uprising Jumanji (lots of laughter) Maze Runner: The Death Cure Justice League The New Mutants Black Panther (few murmurs) Star Wars: The Last Jedi The audience are this up. Lots of laughter. People stayed for the post credits scene, with everyone staying for the mid credit scene.
