  1. I actually think DM3 was decent like a C+. If we're being honest here, it's one of Illumination's better movies. But it wasn't as good as other animated comedies as say, Madagascar 3 or Rio.
  2. I just want good animated movies. By no means do I hate Illumination (they help give $50-$75 every time they release a movie and keep the genre alive) and their success if very impressive, but they've only had two good films. All of WAG's three films have been good to fantastic, and they started in 2014. Numerous animation studios have had at least 3 decent films (Blue Sky, Disney, Pixar, Laika, Dreamworks (which even started off with 3 great films), even SPA and Nickelodeon have made better movies.) I'd be giving any animated studio the same treatment if they did something like that. Not every animated film has to be a classic but it should at least be good.
  3. One of my main complaints when people say animated movies is just for kids. Sure, I'm not denying it's primarily targeted at kids but it doesn't have to be completely pandering either. Pixar, WDAS, WAG, and Laika have done films that are animated with children in mind but they are done so well they can appeal to anyone.
  4. Norm of The North is straight up cancer. One of the worst two hours of my life and worst cinematic experience, sure I made about $75 but it wasn't worth it.
  5. I think like Shrek 3, in America, Minions turned adults without children off, even if it was good. On a more positive note, I can see Grinch outgrossing Pets domestically for Illumination's top movie.
  6. For those Kingsman fans, Family Guy did a parody of this for an upcoming episode based on the church scene:
  7. Odds are Logan, GV2, and WW may all have spots in my top 25, barring JL and Thor being crazy good. Apes, Baby Driver, Dunkirk, a Lego Movie (cause bias), PR (also bias) and Get Out have locked spots.
  8. That'd be enough to give Han a heart attack. Why $400M though?
  9. Films that are likely for a $250M OW: SWIX and Lion King Films that are likely for a $200M OW: SW7, AIW, JW2, IW2, SWIX, Lion King
  10. It's going to either be SWIX (which will happen even if it moves to December 2019) or Lion King for the $250M OW.
