    I will grant you this one didn't make 100M in US. Part of it was critic reviews,part of it was bad marketing,and part of it despite what people say is the month it was released. I do think if a second one was made. It might do a little better. If it's not put up against huge movies like BATB,Logan,and Kong. To me PR should have been a late Jan or fall movie. PR has a niche following as you said. For it to make money. It needs to be away from the Disney/Marvels of the world. Any ways this is probably a moot point,because I just don't see another getting made. Unless this movie does some serious numbers in China or Japan to justify one.

    Lionsgate has made smaller budget movies before. Shoot they put out Tyler Perry movies each year it seems. It really depends on wether this movie was attended to be a large scale blockbuster or average one like other franchises they have. Yes,I'm calling Madea movies a franchise. Plus it well documented. LG is desperate for a franchise after the last Divergent flopped. It's possible they squeeze out another movie. Just to see if it build on this one. Not saying it's likely,but this is LG were talking about.

     

    P.S. @drdungbeetle,we all get you hate the show. So why keep talking on a thread about a show/franchise you hate. Wouldn't your time be better serve talking on any other thread. lol

    He should ask Shout Factory about PR TV show dvds or better yet Super Sentai dvds that are now coming out,because of the PR fandom. I might not like all of the fandom,but when it comes to supporting PR through toys or DVD/Blu-ray sales. They always turn out. So I wouldn't under estimate them.

    500M is on the floor imo.600M？it depends on buzz and wom.Pirates 4 once was No.3 in 2011.FF5 was No.10.Six years is a long time.FF franchise is totally different now.There is Dragon Boat Holiday right behind Pirates 5.That's benefits for Captain Jack to stay Top5 this year.

     

    PS：Alien:Covenant will release in May too.

     

    400M WW or in China? Because the first GOTG only made 87M total in China.

    It's pretty much tanked in every international territory it's been released in so far. These aren't good prospects for future investments.

     

    Try telling that to PR fans. Who some how think LG making a profit on this movie and if you tell them other wise. They blow up in your face. Saying your the bad guy. That you don't know how things work. lol As a standalone movie. Fine,enjoy it,but they are acting like 128 WW is the best thing ever. Like a 3 week drop in the 50 to 60 range is nothing. Like Lionsgate owes them a sequel. Even when the movie hasn't made enough of a profit and is 20 million below it's budget.

    Man,it's like talking to a brick wall with some PR fans. You give them details and facts they don't like. They jump on you. My sorries to @Outrageous!. He's right that board has gone full crazy denial. All I did was post pre-sale numbers from South Korea. They started bitching about how I was comparing it to F8? I went off. Saying you better hope it does half of what F8 does in South Korea. Considering it's numbers. lol
