Not much shocking when dory did more than age of ultron. Drop for jw 2 will be exciting to watch and gods lord and miller's, muaahhhh, han solo will do good. Only thing hurting it is it's release date. In my mind, mos last fight b/w zod and superman does not exist and it is a perfect 10/10 movie. I liked bvs uc. Doesn't think about it much. -
Why 10 years? People would have laughed 4 years before this. But khal drago as aquaman, that's badass in any situation. And as for doing 250, superhero zonera is superstrong.

Let's see two situation. You have not planned to see a movie. You go to walmart, you see tickets, you think maybe I will watch this movie. Would buy tickets later at cinemas, who will keep this ticket for a long time. You have planned to see a movie. Why would you go to walmart to buy tickets then?

If are comparing to JL then yes it did help. But seeing in a vacuum, only a little. But I think even with good reviews for previous movies, JL would not have done avengers numbers. Mos have not done much better with good reviews. Bvs, 450 domestic and 1.1 billion ww. I don't think JL will increase 300-400 million from bvs.

Didn't say anythi g about jl. I was just saying avengers ow was more like deadpool. A novelty factor of seeing multiple heroes in a single film, start of a interconnected franchisee. Iron man becoming a social media icon. So your point of avengers ow has anythjng to do with ca and thor is wrong according to me. They didn't stop but didn't help either.

That's easy to say now. But at the time people were not predicting big numbers for avengers. "It's iron man 3, ca and thor disappointed". In coming weeks people started to say it could do 130 ow. Week before release, most sites started comparing it to hunger games 150 ow. And than that week started, and went from #notaevent to destroying the ow record.

If we include all dvd sales, merch, etc. DC is doing real good. SS made same profit as civil war(dhd). Man of steel profit were less but bvs did good again. This is much better than beginning of any other franchise.

HTTYD 2 was just like lego batman. Coming of a highly praised film everyone was predicting big numbers. Film itself got glowing reviews and then.....

That's right and same people will be disappointed when it will have normal drop. If that women above 25 maintajns further in run, I feel this will have strong weekdays but normal weekend drops which could change in late weekends.

Once it was clear it is crossing 100, wb may have underestimated sunday, so actuals above estimate headline can be achieved.
