I normally don't open up much but it's been a wonderful year. We've all gone through a lot and BoT is a beautiful method of coping from personal life problems with an amazing mod team and awesome members. I'm truly grateful for being part of this community and I look forward to another great year.

I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe...
Threads on fire off the Box Office Theory Forum
I watched @That One Guy and @WrathOfHan kissing in the dark
Near the classic conversation thread.
All those... moments... will be lost in time...

Justice League got a massive drop in screen count so the 65% drop this Friday is expected. @EmpireCity had a really good point and it's gonna get worse from here on out. If this was a 400M dollar movie, which it should have been (that was always it's potential) it wouldn't have dropped so many screens so fast.
Damn. Sad thing is that if WW wasn't well received and JL was even worse received this could have been even worse. Sub 600?

Both Aquaman and Shazam offer something new to the table and that'll be a huge selling point.
Hey, I've been saying this for a while:
350M+ for Aquaman, 250M+ for Shazam!

My screening was surprisingly on 55% full!! Friday night at 7:05!
But the good thing is that the IMAX was sold out. (my friends dragged me see it in regular format yuck)

So what can we expect for previews?
I'd say 52M?

HOLY SHIT! SO this happened.
The evil Empire has won.
WB/DC is pissing their pants right now. The DCEU is on its last legs now that Disney controls the X-men and F4.Not nessicarily, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are still huge, only one of their 2/3 of these films lived up to their potential. WW out grossed Avengers 2.5

Barry Allen must be looking forward to this!

350M WW?
Are you guys CRAZY?
I'm thinking 550M is the starting point. While brand recognition is great, DC has managed to turn Suicide Squad and WW into huge hits with marketing. Let's see how Aquaman does!

Should now land in the 240ish range
Crazy that Shazam will best Justice League!

My friend is literally driving me insane.
> he and his friend want to see TLJ on friday
> checks showtimes Friday is sold out, no seats are left...
> "Hey, why don't we see it in IMAX on Thursday night, we don't have to worry about not getting seats, there are still some left"
> @raegr's friend wants non-reserved seating on Friday, "first come first serve"
> I ask, "so you guys don't want to see it in IMAX?"
> "we'd rather sacrfice IMAX and see it as soon as we can"
> "well if we see it on Thursday we will see it before everyone else and we don't have to worry about not getting seats"
> no response
