Was fun to see that planet get wasted in act 2. I can’t recall much of any of the characters now, but overall feel like I liked a slightly grittier vibe than from the skywalker saga (or solo). And the ending, which is the most important part, was great.
The basic problem is that none of the ST movies are part of a trilogy with a compelling overall story, and all of the PT movies are. Enough to overcome a lot smaller scale execution issues.
Btw, turning to SW to pad an MCU wknd page count is an unmistakable sign of which franchise is still truly culturally ascendant in the US
