Yup. It's doing great! And I'm very glad that Jamie Lee's career revival with "Halloween" lead to this. Even though "Halloween Kills" won't pull similar numbers to it's predecessor, I still think it'll be able to gross between 150 and 200 million $ globally. That's 3 years in a row of having big box office hits.

I think 260-270 million $ globally is what we should hope for.
-
It looks like US total will be somewhere between 140 and 150 million $.
-
I would say that US total will be anywhere from 135 to 140 million $.

+ if they expand "1917" a little bit more because of the Globes, I can see it making 1 million $ with a total of 2.5 million $.
-
So Universal took it off their For Your Consideration page lol

I loved it. Just came back home from the screening. Judging by the numbers it pulled on Christmas Day from only 11 theaters (251k), it can surely gross 600-700,000 over the weekend and hopefully explode in January. It certainly has a potential to gross over 100 million $.
-
I think Star Wars won't have a bigger drop than 50-55%.
-
I think we are all overestimating opening for "Little Women". I still believe that there is a solid chance for 100 million + total, but 30 - 40 million opening, even for five days... (I put 33 million $ total for 5 days and I am still skeptic about it).
I wouldn't be surprised if this opens in mid teens and up to 23-5 million $ 5 day total.
-
Well, expect an increase during the fifth weekend and it’s total to be around 102-3 million $. If it keeps on having steady drops, 120 million $ should be achievable. Similar number overseas.

DECEMBER 27-29 (UPDATED):
1. "Star Wars 9" - 84.2 / 350.1
2. "Jumanji 2" - 31.1 / 159.2
3. "Little Women" - 22.8 / 33.1
4. "Frozen 2" - 15.9 / 413.6
5. "Spies in Disguise" - 13.3 / 20.5
6. "Knives Out" - 7.9 / 102.6
7. "Cats" - 6.8 / 18.0
8. "Bombshell" - 6.2 / 15.7
9. "Uncut Gems" - 5.2 / 8.1
10. "Richard Jewell" - 3.0 / 14.8
12. "Ford vs. Ferrari" - 2.3 / 106.0
11. "Queen and Slim" - 2.2 / 40.4
Well, I don't see numbers going much higher for other films... As of SW, I'm really confused, since the previous one had 3 weekends in December, opposed to this one having two.

I guess it will bomb after all. I think it will do decent in UK, but flop elsewhere.

1,450 according to The Wrap.
Thank you! Not bad, but they should release it in more theaters. I am still keeping expectations conservative to 6-8 million $ max. Although I would not be surprised if it goes to 10-12 million $.
-
So I am wondering are they expanding this to 1,500+ or 2,000+ theaters? Any info?
-
This is how I see box office run:
1st weekend - 10.8 million
2nd weekend - 13.9 / 40.5 million
3rd weekend - 8.5 / 62.3 million
4th weekend - 4.7 / 70.1 million
5th weekend - 2.3 / 74.3 million
6th weekend - 0.9 / 76.0 million
So I'd say total will be somewhere between 77 and 78 million at it's best.

Hell yeah, I just love watching PR movies for terrible people.
But that's where you're wrong. It's not a PR for terrible people, the trailer is a little misleading. Give it a try.

I still wish they will change their minds and release "Joker" in China.
