I don't think anyone is calling this a mystery needing to be solved, but film is a visual medium and great filmmakers give the audience visual details to help flesh out their characters or provide extra context without just saying it.
Especially this movie, hell in the first movie the spider that bites Miles glitches so they've been setting this up for a long time.

There's nothing wrong with fans doing far fetched readings of a movie for shits and giggles. But you also gotta know most movies arent mysteries littered with "clues" and waiting to be solved.
This movie absolutely leaves clues. For example did you know that during Spots first flashback sequence for a brief second you can see Miles Morales from Earth 42, it's clear as day, you can see him from the back with his braids.

Just how much credit should we give Netflix for this opening?
Will a new last airbender movie breakout big too..I hear that show found a second life on Netflix and did very well there.
Will Extraction 3 with Hemworth breakout if only released in the theatre
I would say Netflix + winning the oscar made a lot of people aware of just how good Spider-verse was. When Spider-verse first got on Netflix if I recall it was #1 for a long time in the movie section, so I'd credit it the same. It's like Austin Powers and how popular it became on VHS and rental situations which made the sequel take off like a rocket.

It's gonna be interesting to see what the three AMC's around me decide to do this upcoming weekend because Transformers is selling like hot garbage in the premium theaters. Whereas Spider-verse has many 80% full capacity showings already in place the rest of the week leading to next weekend.
TBH I'd give Spider-verse some of the premium showings especially if Transformers is barely selling.

Godzilla x kong, Kung fu panda 4 and spider-verse I'm heavily expecting to be delay due to the strike and how crowded it is
If I recall Beyond is done so I don't see it going anywhere in it's release date.

Looks like it received an A on Cinemascore.
A hell of a cliffhanger will do that, though it did not bother me. Beyond is going to be incredible.
-
To be honest though the cliffhanger is frustrating I think it actually works and build up hype for the finale. Yeah sure people are gonna be upset it ends like that but I actually did not mind the cliffhanger. It just means they're not rushing to the conclusion of the ending of this fantastic trilogy. Also they probably wanna nab 2 oscars in a row for best animated film, lets be honest lol.
My theater audibly gasped at the cliffhanger but going from the audience score and audience reaction everyone regardless of the cliffhanger things the movie is amazing.

From 3.5 to 17.4 Million wow. That's incredible.

So should we take Deadline's number serious? /r/BoxOffice is telling me it's an extreme lowball.
Usually when it comes to previews Deadline is lowballing for sure.

We're disappointed about a 17-18 M preview when the first ones preview was 3.5 M? I mean damn talk about a skyrocket jump.

This thing is looking to have an insane increase in it's OW compared to the first one, that's something to be immensely proud of and probably a thank you to Netflix because it did monster numbers in the streaming market.

Kingdom Keepers, not Kingdom Hearts - different properties.
They should consider doing something with Kingdom Hearts after the success of Mario. Just market the film as the return of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy to the big screen and do NOT make it live action.

I've said before...if I were Disney, I'd buy the Kingdom Keepers series if they want to rejuvenate all their old characters and park properties. It's like making this year's Mario movie - the spin-offs to a well done original could be endless, which is exactly what Disney wants...
Buy? Kingdom Hearts IS already their property.
-
I really do hope Snow White gets cancelled and Disney can focus on making new and innovative movies then cheap knock offs that don't work. The live action remake buzz has died as quick as the dystopia buzz died with Hunger Games despite them till this day trying to push Dystopian stories.

Well, if people are gonna support POC lead movies, might as well support the better ones.
It's not just the POC lead that makes Spider-verse more "woke" by the bigots definition then The Little Mermaid.
-
If the bigots try to push Spider-Verse as a big win over Woke Disney I will laugh my ass off. Spider-Verse by their definition is gonna be more "woke" then Litter Mermaid could ever dream of.
So hyped for Spider-verse.

I'm going to guess this will be resolved by August at the earliest, November potentially at the latest. SAG joining in is going to definitely speed up the process.
-
People wondering why they're not allowing just any bigot to write a review as if this movie hasn't been review bombed since the casting of Halle.
Halle Bailey had a stunning performance of Part of Your World at Disneyland and the video was review bombed for no good reason whatsoever.
It's racism, plain and simple.

Grace Randolph seems to be hintiing the movie's themes and ideologies are extremely political and if we thought Disney vs Conservatives was badI I personally think it's hilarious), Mattel seems to want to fight conservatives as well.
I mean I'm all for fighting bigotry so maybe this movie is a middle finger to conservative beliefs. If it bombs I'm sure the idiots are gonna be like "THis iS WHaT HaPPEns WHeN YOu gO WOAk!"

This trailer makes the movie feel like a Greta Gerwig movie, the first one did not.
-
Yeah seems like they're definitely going the more meta/mature route which will probably scare off the kids and families for sure.

I think this is all but certain, since they showed us Ms. Chang in this film.
You know the events of Beyond could also effect the MCU aka Secret Wars if they really wanted to.
