LMAO they already got SAG joining the picket lines, the least they wanted is to deal with the DGA as well.

The SAG joining the WGA protest is gonna essentially shut hollywood down completely. This will essentially speed run the process to a result. If it was just the WGA alone it would take months for this to be resolved, with the SAG joining the brigade this can only speed up the process to a resolution being reached.

You know when I was first introduced to LGBT, I went and saw Big Daddy in theaters I was ten years old. The gay couple kissed on screen. Parents didn't say shit, I didn't say shit. It was a good movie, and one of the friends was obviously homophobic because he was interested but that's looking back on that movie.
LGBT media is available worldwide everywhere and it's becoming a lot more open. I can say 80% of streaming shows aimed at teens and youth has LGBT representation in it nowadays. Most polls nowadays show that all the upcoming generations do not give a shit about LGBT and whether they have a right to marry. It's not controversial to them.
It's only controversial and woo is me to the boomers and the Republicans know that once the boomers die, the conservative party dies with them.
They hyped up this past house election and said a red tide was coming, it turned out to be not even a puddle. That was the moment IMO Republicans realized the upcoming and younger generations do not fuck with their bigoted and backwards beliefs.

Does Desantis not realize that especially in todays climate. Social media, TV shows, films; LGBT representation is higher than it's ever been so this whole let's make sure LGBT children and teens can't learn or understand what is happening to them is foolish. They're gonna find out and they're gonna be who they've always been.

To me it's obvious the next games on the agenda for Illumination aside from the Super Mario Bros sequel is Luigi's Mansion and Donkey Kong Country. The way they showed you DK's world in the movie makes me think that's definitely on the agenda.
Also all the protagonists of the games were in the arena. DK, Diddy, Dixie, and I believe that was Kiddy. Those are the protagonists of 1 through 3.

I’m all for Illumination doing Zelda if they can treat it seriously, with a totally different approach. I see them doing it as much more likely than another studio, even if they wouldn’t be my number one choice based on what they’ve done so far.
If Miyamoto watches over them just like he did this film I can imagine he will,seems a safe bet any film Universal makes for Nintendo will have it be with Nintendo fully watching over the project and making sure everything is as it needs to be.
Zelda has a story and it's quite complex unlike Mario, so they will have to do justice to the story in Zelda.

The highest selling IP in the Nintendo brand just Nintendo is Mario followed by Zelda. If it's Nintendo + partner it's Pokemon.

It could happen though. I’d be thrilled if it was animated if the style was right.
Ironically, back when Brave came out there were parts of that where I thought Pixar would be perfect to be given Zelda. But Disney are clearly not going to be allowed anywhere near a Nintendo property.
Spider-verse Sequel is two parts. You can do Zelda Ocarina of Time and have it be a 2 part movie. Have the first movie end with him becoming Adult Link.

Basically the opposite of Mario which had the most appeal animated.
I think by this point if you're doing Nintendo films keep them animated but Illumination Zelda does not sound appealing unless Miyamoto is on them just as strictly as he was with Mario because Zelda actually has a storyline and it's pretty complex unlike Mario.

Interesting enough 3 Mario Titles are in the top 10 on Amazon Video Games however to no ones shock the #1 selling game is not a Mario title, it's the new Zelda coming out next month which looks absolutely incredible.

The faithful adaptation bit seems harsh IMO. Books 1-3 are very faithfully adapted from screen to film. Book 4 is when they started skipping book content no shock because the books after 3 are well over 700+ pages, so stuff will obviously get skipped.
