I guess that says it all. Jaws isn't perhaps for someone in 2010s but lacks is IMO character connection. SFx and scares are perhaps outdated, in that case you need characters to rescue, which isn't case here, Jurassic Park does it better, or fwiw A New Hope.

On exactly one year of joining this forum, I think this place is awesome. People actually know about box office here, so that's a win plus mods are awesome. My only encounter with Hollywood box office buffs was Deadline comment section, so if anything this place is no where toxic as rest of places.

I watched Jaws last night for first time, I don't know if it failed test of time, but I wasn't as impressed as rest of world. I fail to understand how it become the biggest grosser of all time in US.

I was wrong. It opened to ₹3cr, which isn't better though.

the numbers I see are already including that. In morning it was 145% better than yday, by noon its down to 120%, soon will be around 100-105%.

Zombieland seems like 5.5-6, though I won't put a pin on it yet. M2 still on path to $9.5-10mn. Joker under 9 mostly, more like 8.75. Parasite perhaps 350k plus Jo Jo Rabbit don't seem will cross 75k unless some heavy evening. Lighthouse in same range. Next update 10 hours from now.

At Noon EST, M2 seems like $9.5mn true Friday while Joker is around $9.25mn. Zombieland, I missed checking, will check in few minutes.
