Three weeks is sufficient to make 3/4s of the total dom.

I thought World War Z was rated R and...I'm still shook by what Venom got away with.

It will be incredibly difficult to bring it to live action. It is one of my all time fave anime, but the live action is bound to fail.
Easiest recent modern anime/manga to adapt and won't get the SJW's in a tizzy over "muh appropriation"

I think an Attack on Titan movie is a bad idea that I hope ultimately doesn't happen.
Hope the effects are better. IT was rough.

Depends on budget.
The newer games are “cinematic” enough that the idea of a live action movie doesn’t seem appealing, similar to the last Tomb Raider film.
I thought this was the animated movie reported awhile back.

Just now noticed Eva Green is in this. BO projection lowered.

It is intresting to note that the movies that have the less creativity to them are the most beloved :
- Logan
- Wonder Woman
Beloved by the same people who usually complain how franchise filmmaking is killing originality.
Isn't it ironic ?
Yes Alanis, it is.
Grounded Character and emotional work over funny book shenanigans are what Stan Lee meant when he wanted to differentiate the Marvel heroes from DC. In her own movie, WW is now more flawed & cutesy than she's ever been.

Shazam's trailers are better than AQM's trailers.

WB's incredibly strange marketing tactics for a film that sounds like a huge crowd-pleasing winner
o, Mulder said:The marketing complaints here remind me of Aquaman's marketing complaints and we all know how that turned out.
It doesn't have AQM's many money shots, but marketing seems to get the gist across as with other recent jovial street-level cbm's.
EoT was still at the end of the day an obscure Tom Cruise action/scifi thing.
Bumblebee was a more expensive Herbie Fully Loaded.
Spider-verse was another too weird & animated Lord & Miller project.

It feels more along the lines of Bumbleebee or spiderverse.
What's with this lowballing?

I'm thinking this might be Bumblebee 2019 if the reviews indeed hold true to these early reactions come review embargo drop time on RT. It might do a bit better than Bumblebee as that movie is known for being tied to the failing TF franchise.
Oh gawd I hope this does better than Bumblebee. Bumblebee was awful.

No praise for the kid who plays Billy?
Pretty much expected he'd get less recognition. He's more laidback than the other two dudes, bro.

I'd argue it helped the idea of making women in mainstream tentpole action movies as leads I think. If THG and especially CF didn't land, Lucasfilm probably wouldn't have created Rey or Jyn Erso, and DC probably wouldn't have fast-tracked Wonder Woman after decades of developoment hell
Fun fact: In that same year Underworld & RE sequels were released + Kristen Stewart was in two separate action fantasy flicks.
Wonder what the next stable YA series is going to be.

One of my interns just told me Stan Lee isn't dead? What?
We can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic man. Stan Lee will be that man. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster.

John Lithgow is a great actor, what are you talking about?
That's going to be some insane make-up work to make him look like the guy he's supposed to be playing
Theron as Megyn is spot-on comparatively

Lithgow as Ailes? 😕
were Oldman, Bale, or Simon Russell Beale unavailable?

See now here's another obvious difference between a movie men & women would root for vs "woke" pandering
The heck happened to all the men that the femvengers have to pull an Ocean's 8?

Dudebros can only handle 1 strong female movie at a time. 2 is too much female empowerment and makes their peepee shrink

Too many similar comic movies this year.
Shazam was once Captain Marvel.
Dark Phoenix is also about a female super with berserker rage.
Far From Home vs Shazam
Hellboy is yet another dude in red.

Please, don't mention the Jonah Hex movie to me. I get irrationally upset about how badly the movie butchered Jonah .

It's all about the execution. GL was trying to be what WW and Aquaman were, but failed miserably.
I only hear or read that in reference to the previous script's ambition. It was way worse back then outside of Batman with movies like that, JonahWILDWILDWESTHex & SuperSOLOman Returns.

I think they brought him on board in reaction to disaster that was "Green Lantern", but it was the wrong choice and did even more damage to the DCU.
GL killed an adapted brand between the big & small screen + the reboot is still tbd.
At least there was a GL for a couple seconds since 2011.
