  1. @Walt Disney

It's not going to be LionsSummit Gate. They have the JWick series, but their last wide appeal was Hunger Games.

One less major studio amongst the Big Six actually means more money & time to market the same kind of movies

Suck the air out of smaller movies that have to "meme" their way to the top of a 25% market share

    That's the competition

Netflix & Uber facilitate the accessible & affordable tech revolution.  Major corporate consolidation is a means to survive a dying industry.

Agreed. I might argue his last three have been his weakest;"Hateful 8" in particular. The other two were fun,but "8" was often just plain boring, the worst thing a film can be.

Of the 3, that was my favorite.

    WTF happened to Shane Black

From IM3 to The Nice Guys to

    THE PREDATOR

    Ykes.

    He was never really good.

You need to watch "Pulp Fiction " which is his best film and some of his earlier films. I think his last 3 ,although fun, have been a long way from his best work.

    On the watchlist.

Tarantino is great, of course and i'm a fan. His movies are awesome, but he's repeating himself. They are good movies, don't get me wrong, but are they really great if he does the same thing over and over again...

    I've only seen 3 - Django, Hateful 8, Inglorious

Pitt's giving the same performance...that's 'bout it

If I didn't know any better, this could just as easily been a Shane Black sort of thing

The Force Awakens holds the record for most consecutive days above 20M$ with 17 days

The Last Jedi holds the record for most consecutive days above 10M$ with 18 days

Anyone care to predict when these will be broken?  EP IX?  Avatar 2?

It kinda needs to be a Holiday movie as most big movies get killed around the 13-14 days mark

Does this mean Ep IX will have most consecutive days above 5M$ with 19 days?

That Batman Trailer makes me shudder...

This Avengers Trailer is also lol

I wonder something around 2012 or 2013 changed for trailers, anyone know?

Like I remember Iron Man 3 trailer was super serious.

Looking back at phase one solo trailers. TFA is the only one that ends on a joke after the super serious approach. IM2 is in reverse, but that's in line with what the movie was initially going for. IM3 was an intended misdirect.

Do you mean that IROM Man 4 was RDJ’s decision? It doesn’t have to be IM4 specifically, the point is that they could have used that slot to get sequels for more financially successful characters out faster and just let AM hang around with only 1 solo movie Hulk style.

Hulk only gets one solo movie because of TiH and they have to deal with Universal.

Didn't realise there was Audis in civil war and it was in Black Panther.

BP had one of the most blatant car & tie-in song ads in a single scene.

Why do we blame certain directors or franchises for "only being in it for the money" while standing others on a pedestal? Seriously? Literally everyone in Hollywood makes/wants to make money.

It's the difference between Nascar drivers and people who put themselves out there wanting to make money based on their talents as artists. The budget can shocking vary with that.

For whatever reason, 2016 onward is when there was this big push for racial & gender diversity

BvS has its magnitude of female & poc characters

Dr Strange brandished Captain Planet colors (asian sidekick kick-off in the MCU)

    Skwad (female villain)

    Apoc (female side villains)

    Vol 2 (female side villain)

    WW (female side villain)

    T:Ragnarok (female villain)

    Power Rangers (female villain)

Homecoming has its magnitude of female & poc characters

    JL

BP just flips the standard, so token white character

    IW (female side villain)

    DP 2

    AM & W (female villain)

Lol a sequel to Last Knight is not happening. What they likely mean is some kind of Transformers movie is in the works

Whether the DCEU still exists or not, the continuity hasn't been broken.  We're still talking about the same movie under the same company.  Of course there is no guarantee.

Heading into movie # 7 and we're still waiting for the first onscreen recast.

To throw shoes at politicians is tradition in certain countries. In others its a long lasting tradition to throw egg (preferably foul ones) or squishy things like tomatoes. Usually no injury...

But today the most funny, even when then sometimes injury causing, tradition to show displeasure was in Austria, in the so called ink castle (it isn't a castle), as the parliament included different countries (one empire), different languages (and no one bothered to translate a thing) and the honoured members of parliament threw their very heavy glasses full of ink. The real ink, means ppl and their really expensive clothes got 'blackened', the population could see if it was again a 'lively' discussion with one glance. Only to be clear, that was before WW I

At least, that comes across as we're all in participation of this expected act. Same with stand-up comedians.

I don’t know, I feel like representation is pretty cool when it comes to these big budget films, even when it’s not me being represented on the big screen

He could be a literal unicorn, wouldn't make a diff.

The real losses are Ezra as being a capable actor along with Kiersey & Billy.
