Marvel stans spent like 10 years relentlessly and obnoxiously attacking and trolling DC, Fox and Sony, making every discussion anywhere a total disaster and impossible.
They are getting back about 10% of the energy they put out and are having complete meltdowns and cranking up the victim complex. Pretty hilarious to see.

Saw this on Sunday.
I'm all for gateway horror, Goosebumps books is what got me into horror. From there I read Stephen King.
This movie is very much a gateway horror for kids and young teens. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and I know nothing about the games other than Jim Sterling is the reason they exist. I know the basic premise but the games never seemed to be for me.
My main problem with the movie is it felt rushed. It felt like they didn't know if they were gonna get a sequel so they decided we better cram everything in. The movie was almost all constant plot revelations and very little horror.
I watched the movie and kept thinking they need to slow down. Stretch this out. Let some horror and atmosphere build up. There was stuff in here that felt like it could have been done in a sequel.
I'm not the target audience but I still went in with an open mind and enjoyed it more than I thought, and left feeling like it had some great elements and they just fumbled them.

I need this film to come out already.
I'm so sick of seeing the trailers.
It is insane. It doesn't matter the genre. Killers of The flower moon? Marvels trailer. Saw X? Marvels trailers. Five nights at freddys? Expendables? The creator? You guessed it.
I am not exaggerating that I've seen the trailers before every single movie for 4+ months. It's nauseating. And I go every weekend.

It's Christmas season. Opening weekend doesn't determine this movies success. The first only made $67M OW.
Unless this is tracking for like sub $20M or some disaster like that.

I think Brie is a great character actor and meant for dramas and indies. She doesn't have the charisma/screen presence for blockbusters. She was dull and lifeless in Fast X as well.

I still struggle to understand why wanda vision seemed to be well liked in the MCU fan base and MoM gets attacked.
Everything people say they hate about MoM is present in and/or started by Wanda Vision.

And that viral marketing trick seems to have vanished for them after audiences felt burned too many times by them not getting the movie they thought they were getting from the trailers.
Still, I love A24 it'll be a shame if they chase hits but I guess that just reality of the business.
I like Beau is Afraid, and after Hereditary and Midsommar obviously they felt Ari had earned a bigger budget but man, there was no way this movie was ever going to go over well with the GA and make money.

If you want to know who is more worldwide relevant, google trend can only prove one’s celebrity energy. Spotify monthly listeners and streams somehow show how many people actually listen to his/her music.
The Weeknd has been the #1 artist on Spotify for a while now, not for nothing.

I can't stand Taylor Swift. She's always come across extremely fake, and she weaponizes her rabid fanbase. Her music is also shallow and dull.

Very weird they're overhauling the TV side when mcu fans repeatedly tell us nothing is wrong, the shows are all great and popular.

It's replaced gran turismo trailer. It's in front of every single movie I see, doesn't matter the genre.

So sue me, but I liked this well enough.
I don't know maybe I'm weird but I also liked Halloween Kills and Ends. DDG style just vibes with me. I love his visual style, i love the mean streak that seems to run through his films.
Sure, end of the day this was another possession movie and we have seen dozens of them. It's not reinventing the wheel. And yeah DDG IS kind of repeating himself with them themes from Kills and Ends in this, and a sub plot with a character is also similar to Kills.
It's not perfect but it looks nice, it's well acted, it had a couple of a surprises in it and I enjoyed the possession scenes.

Saw Exorcist and enjoyed it well enough.
But the best part of the film was that I went with like 6 family members including my mother.
Near the climax of the film the possessed girls do something and my mother throws up her hands and loudly proclaims "JUST KILL THE KIDS ALREADY!"
Theatre busted out laughing.

Got my tickets for Sunday.
My only bar im hoping for is being better than prey for the devil and Pope's Exorcist.
Though tbh, I actually liked popes exorcist well enough because Crowe is awesome. Then again I liked unhinged for the same reason as the schlock it was but Crowe was COMMITTED.

Genuinely don't understand why some people are so bullish about this doing so well. Getting Mary Poppins vibes where tons of people were so sure it was gonna crush everything the Christmas it came out.
I just don't see this doing more than 200-300M WW. But hey maybe I'm wrong.
