  1. Marvel (and DC) are different from traditional franchises. They're more like brands that consist of up to dozens of individual franchises. Each year there are multiple entries, but all are from different sub-franchises. Each sub-franchises has several year gap between installments, for example Doctor Strange 2 is coming 5 year after the first, and GotG  vol 3 is coming 6 years after Vol 2. This way the brand is fresh in people's mind but you're not overusing any one character. SW is like one of these sub-franchises, and no matter how much people love Iron Man, they'd be tired of him pretty soon if there were annual or biennial Iron Man movies/spin-offs.
