Honestly baffled as to why Disney didn't just buy out her backend like WB did for WW1984. Should have just amended her contract instead of offering nothing. She's in the right here, Disney should pay.

Never cared for Clint and BW made me irrationally angry at him. Mainly I'm excited for the confirmed and rumored guest stars and Kate Bishop.

Enjoyed the finale. I think it mostly stuck the landing and sets up the hook for both season 2 and phase 4 in general pretty well. The timeline stuff mostly makes sense to me, pretty much what I expected so I didn't really have a problem with it. The opening sequence was spectacular! Overall I'd say a very solid 3.5/5
SpoilerThe weakest sections to me were everything to do with Renslayer and the TVA agents. Just didn't work for me and doesn't interest me. I'm also probably in the minority in that I didn't care about Mobius at all so his end didn't really effect me much, except that I feel bad for Loki being alone again. Loved Jonathan Majors as this version of Kang and can't wait to see him in the future.

Out of all the characters in this series Credence is the one I care the least about, just a nothing character really and that's a fault of the lackluster writing that's been given to these movies thus far.
Definitely agree. Big mistake bringing the character back AND making him a Dumbledore. Just ridiculous.

I always thought the TVA explanation was propaganda, so I never believed them to be actually true. Clearly whoever is pretending to be the Time Keepers is just using the 'Sacred Timeline' mantra to justify their existence and reinforcing the mind control of their workers. There is no 'sacred timeline' that is supposed to happen. Whoever created the TVA is just trying to maintain the one timeline that is advantageous to them.

Spoiler
Since the pruned Loki variants ended up in the same timeline, it's likely that there is actually no way to erase new timelines/variants, and the only way for the TVA to assert control is to send them to one 'prison' timeline or wipe their memories to create workers.

Ok, this was much better than the first trailer! Abomination! Dragon appropriately under water! Shangchi and his father's duel giving me Azula vs Zuko last agni kai vibes! I'm officially hyped for this movie now

Getting OT guys. Let's get back on track. Reactions are in line with what I expect from the trailers:
- Great action
- Great Yelena
- Good send-off for Nat
- Crap villain

weirdly the 3 bigger AMCs I checked in NY, BW was 2x F9.
It's basically Outer Queens vs Midtown Manhattan. There's some difference in demographics.

Local IMAXes not up yet. Guess I will wait
There are some IMAX here but a lot less showtimes than previous MCU movies. There are only 8 shows listed for Sat, 4 for IMAX and 4 for 2D. Even AMatW had over 20 shows. Looks like AMC is waiting for closer to release time to add more shows.

There are only 8 shows listed right now at my local AMC for Saturday for Black Widow. I'm not sure why there are so few shows right now since even ATatW got over 20 shows for release Saturday as soon as tickets went on sale. Although this same theater didn't add additional ITH showtimes until Tuesday night before release, so maybe they're just waiting until we get closer to release? Anyway I don't expect huge presale numbers until they add more showtimes.

Wild speculation time:
SpoilerI wouldn't be surprised if the Time Keepers turn out to be the true villains, or someone else high up in the TVA. They enjoy playing god and deciding the fates of trillions and just created the company line to prevent the staff from asking too many questions. The evil Loki variant they're hunting may have discovered the truth and is now trying to burn down the TVA.

Oooh boy, man, time travel is really playing with fire.
A lot of words were thrown around this ep that relate to very logically problematic instantiations of time travel. I guess there is nothing to do but pray that they can work things out in the next 5 eps.
Aside from my foreboding feeling that his show might lead in to a totally fumbled execution of time travel and multiverse stuff that ruins Endgame, Phase 4, and the MCU at large... really enjoyed this first ep 😆
That's my main concern as well.
SpoilerAlthough I do feel like the whole 'sacred timeline' purity thing is totally propaganda made up by someone high up in the TVA, and that they're just picking and choosing whatever they want to happen and killing off variants and timelines that they don't like.

Before the first trailer was released this was by far the D+ show I was least interested in. I was just over Loki as character and don't want to see anymore of him. The first trailer was great, and got me really hyped. But now the subsequent clips are far less entertaining, and my interest in this is now back to what it was when it was first announced, that is to say 'meh'. I'll still watch it but I'm not hyped for it like I was for WV or TFatWS.

Honestly I'm more worried about
Spoilerthe dragon being in this movie.
I don't think that will go over well in China.

Only if he doesn't get dubbed.
Let me say it again:
TONY LEUNG HAD BETTER NOT BE DUBBED FOR AMERICA, FEIGE!!!
If there's a "problem" with English... subtitle him. It remains [reasonably] authentic.
Tony Leung (like most HK actors) has been dubbed for decades into Mandarin for China/TW so I don't really have a problem with him being dubbed into English.

I find Harley so annoying.
I find her Jersey accent especially grating. Couldn't get through BoP because of her narration.
Trailer was really meh, not digging the style at all (it just looks really ugly?) and the humor fell flat for me. Hopefully the next trailer is better.

The only good thing about this news is that by July my friends would all be fully vaccinated so we can watch this in theaters as usual. Otherwise with the old date I would have been the only one vaccinated. Hopefully by then theaters will be back to full capacity.

I think they skip it - and this explains Peter Rabbit to July 2 - Cinemark may be making that the "kid" movie of the summer for all their group camp/swim team/kid party bookings.
Book it - Peter Rabbit 2 wins the DOM summer:)...
I actually think PR2 will move back up to May 14 now that BW has vacated.

they got it from this deadline article
Deadline mixed up currency, the numbers are in RMB, not USD. Right now total presales at 5.8m RMB, so about $900k. Almost half of the presales are for Friday.

This just shows how pointless IMDB ratings are since TFA is vastly superior to the other movies listed.
