My showing was actually like this multiple times through the movie. Never seen anything like that in real-life. Also this was the most packed I've seen a theatre since Harry Potter 8. Wall-to-wall people at the concession stands and (somehow) the ticket kiosks, with lines going out the door.
Also, anecdotally, according to the people sitting on my left and right it was "The best movie I've ever seen" and "The greatest moment of my life." So I'd say early wom is looking pretty good.

Well that’s gonna be a shitshow considering many of the showings are already sold out. How do they choose which 50% get to keep their tickets? Thanos style? Or do they refund all of the tickets and create a mad dash of people trying to re-buy?

Yeah, but seriously the title should be changed. Every time I see the thread I think it’s been delayed again.

Typically 2nd trailers drop from the first in views (Endgame, Infinity War, Lion King, etc.etc).
Even if this has the payoff of a big reveal, I still think it drops a bit but I'd love for it to go up just to further indicate the insane hype.
Going with 331m.
I just saw the bolded number and thought that you were predicting that for OW .

Wait… this was kinda fire. I kept waiting for it to go to shit but it never did. But then I do like Warhammer so overly complex lore doesn’t faze me haha.

What is this American obsession with winner-take-all Electoral College?

With this Supreme Court, I don't expect the Paramount decree to last much longer. Monopolies for everyone.
It's already gone. No one has bought a chain yet because it is viewed as a money sink, and the memers inflated AMC value to the sky. If I had to predict someone buying a chain it would probably be Amazon, as they don't seem to mind losing money in one arm of their business as long as they can grow their overall footprint.

"The Village Bride" is great. That's the best one imo.
Also what was with that rushed Lawrence of Arabia reference in "Akakiri"? They took out all the good parts of the scenes. Maybe it made more sense in Japanese because I did watch these dubbed.

Shang Chi will be almost par FFH in Hong Kong in admits. Could have done $150-200M in China.
Could be inflated from mainlanders going there to watch it. Don't know if that's a thing though.

C'mon C'mon, Macbeth, Belfast, Passing, so many B&W movies are coming out this award season. And people say Zach Snyder isn't a Hollywood tastemaker.
I blame Cuarón

What's the point of all this Oscars discussion, it will have no impact on this movie. Oscars are a marketing tool for studios. Having "Marvel Studios" on the poster is worth way more for this film's box office than any Oscar win.

I'm interested to see how many the Crown wins. That season seems like the definition of awards bait.

I do think they overdid it a little with the fanservice, but they had the audience eating from the palm of their hand. One of the biggest pop-offs of the night was from Tobey just pulling down his collar.
