only 2 movies so far in Phase 4 but I agree. BW definetly better than the mess that was FFH. BW has some great character moments and the opening still gives me chills. FFH is meh from start to finish

Eternals quality from even marketing is much better than most MCU movies so that's a promising start. Excited for Trailer.

I think anything over 60m+ in such climate is great. It's a new hero and most of the cast is Asian.

imo I think everybody knew Shang-Chi will have negative reactions too. The thing is Slant usually doesn't favor Marvel much so it's not that big of a concern. Suppose if some critics who usually like MCU had the same reaction then offcourse there would have been a problem. Also, that reaction was more about MCU and less about Shang-Chi so 😅

No definitive leak right now. After this whole plot and end credit scenes will be leaked online. This kills excitement for many. Honestly, there was no need. Good reviews would have taken care of anything. Movie literally has a month to itself, wom would have spread either way. This is just burning demand.

I am in same boat as you.It's tragic. I don't understand Marvel/Disney ,it's like they want to give the movie worst possible hurdles. -
That was pre pandemic. It didn't work for Shazam, FB2 and many more.

But there was no need. These people would have most likely gone on opening weekend and now some of them won't. If this was near the film opening I would have understood but this early is not good at all.

Fan anticipation is good. Spoilers will be out by Tomorrow. Marvel never does this. Fan screenings loses so many audience that will ho to theatre and hype the movie. It's ugly approach.

I am just really happy for Simu Liu. He deserves this and I can't wait to see him get more roles in Hollywood after this.

Anything around 7m previews is good imo. 50-60m 4-day Weekend can easily be spun positively in media as 3rd largest Pandemic OW and biggest Labor day weekend. With no new movie to compete for over a month. 130-140m domestic is good enough. Good audience reception and good reviews will only help the case. -
I kinda wished that they keep young Cassie around but I can understand with YA and stuff it was impossible. Also the Adult Cassie that we had in Endgame looks more like Paul Rudd daughter than we will have in AM3 , let's see how their relationship goes.

Okay Shang-Chi reception gets more promising. Upper tier MCU more likely than not.

Yeah usually overarching stories don't survive 23 movies so people don't know what would have happened when one big plot is finished. Most elements since Wandavision are new and character focus has also changed drastically. Wanda became the main character from barely having much focus till Endgame.
