  1. Since “Venom” overpeeformed and pulled 90 million $ in the US, I wonder can Bond also open closer to that number? I’m still keeping my predictions to 70-5 million $ though.
  2. 30-ish million $ would be great! I’d say 25 million$ and 35 million $ if we’re lucky. 45-55 million $ looks unrealistic hoenstly.
  3. What numbers worldwide are you guys expecting when it finishes it’s theatrical run?
  4. "Skyfall" grossed 304.4 million $ in the US and "Spectre" 200.1 million $ in the States, so a rough 30% drop. But "Spectre" suffered from mediocre to bad WOM as well, and it deserved it. Outside of the States, "Skyfall" made 804.2 million $, and "Spectre" - 680.6 million $, a 15% drop.
  5. I'm still sticking to my final prediction - 29.5 million $ opening weekend. 33-5 million $ at it's best, but bad reviews and Peacock will harm the film. Not as much as they would any other genre in October, but for those who are too optimistic - brace yourselves for lower numbers. And this is the expected gross weekend by weekend, if my prediction is correct: 1. 29.5$ million 2. 10.8$ million / 49.4 million $ 3. 5.8$ million / 58.6 million $ 4. 2.4$ million / 62.8 million $ 5. 0.8$ million / 64.3 million $ So I guess - 65 million $ total, give or take, is what we should expect.

  7. I wonder if this will cross 200 million $ mark in the States. The only other films I think could pass that mark are "Eternals" and "Spider Man: No Way Home"...
  8. I think it will do more than 60 million $ for several reasons. First - no streaming/early access deals for this one, second - there hasn't really been any similar film in theaters recently (Marvel is not a direct competition honestly). Third - it's the fall, and people will lean more towards the theaters even with Delta variant.
  9. So, where do we think this will land in terms of numbers for the opening weekend? I'm guessing anywhere between 70 and 100 million $ in the US.
  10. I'm sticking to my 20-30 million $ opening, with 50-65 million $ total in the US. Definitely #2 behind "No Time to Die" (I think it would be #2 with or without Peacock).
  11. They still didn't film "Halloween Ends". I wonder will this, for now, lukewarm reception of "Halloween Kills" delay it till 2023, and change the screenplay. I can see the potential problems "Kills" may have. Sadly, it looks like JLC took more so a supporting role here, and that was my number 1 concern after the 2018 film. I think this will do ok on box office, but I'm lowering my expectations to 20-30 million $ opening weekend, coming second to "No Time to Kill's" second weekend, which I expect to be north of 40-50 million $. Let's remember that good reviews and word of mouth helped the previous film significantly.
