Paltrow is great as Pepper. I agree. Was happy to see her in the film.And on Smulders: her character serves a purpose (to keep Fury right and level-headed). She looked good in her outfit and I think she was a well needed female in the film. And Maria Hill is an actual character. Hope to see her in future films.

I love this film.Whats encouraging is, that although it underperformed at the US box office, it spent 9 weeks inside the rental top 5. So I'm guessing people are discovering it more now in the states. And whenever I search Scream4 on Twitter, theres always loads of results from people watching it, seemingly for the first time.I just hope we get a Scream 5.

Yeh buzz is big, there was a full page advert in the newspapers for the Trailer TV premiere on Channel 4.And the trailer was shown before my screening of Avengers but didn't get a reaction. I think people were just wishing the adverts and trailers would be overwith!Buzz is big, and even pre-sales are looking good already. I could see $40m being a possibility. Not sure how much higher it can go...I guess it depends on WOM.

So Battleship has been out here for 3 weeks and WOM is terrible.I wonder if the WOM will be just as bad in the US when it finally opens.

Bombs away for all openers. 5YE should have opened over $20m. Pirates $10m from 3,400 theatres?! And the other two films unsurprisingly flopped.Oooooh. But CABIN IN THE WOODS looking at another sub 50% drop. Woop.Can we stop having the generic Jason Statham movies now? Thank you.Roll on Avengers. Which was a fantastic film and fully deserves to do well.

Excellent sub50% drop for The Cabin in the Woods.Like I've already said, it's Cinemascore may have been C. But Drive got C- and had a 3x multiplier.Cabin is hitting 39-40m.
