Bombs away for Rock of Ages and That's My Boy.
-
$12,5m/$26m

Not a massive bump for Madagascar on Saturday, and Prometheus still dropped after taking away midnights. Both still great openings. Prometheus really should be over 50m, but may fall short.
-
Seen MIB3 yesterday, entertaining but forgettable.Nicole Scherzinger's cameo was the highlight. And the surprising ending.
-
So MTV are developing a SCREAM TV series.I don't know how I feel about it. :angry:Thoughts?
-
The drop for MIB3 is awful.
-
Chernobyl did double what I was expecting. And nope, its not a found footage film.
-
$185-190m seems like a decent run for MIB3. If only they hadn't went overboard with the budget and marketing.

When do summer weekdays kick in? June?
-
If Chernobyl is at around $400,000, then it's going to have a hard time hitting $15m total.Ouch. Didn't see that coming.
-
Box office blamed on the weather. It really was scorching :-) Going tonight though, since the sun is away.
-
$1,000,000.
-
Chernobyl Diaries away down at no. 8 on Sunday. This really isn't going to persuade studio's to open horrors during summer. $8m is fine for the budget. But not good. What To Expect saving some face.
-
Disappointing for Chernobyl Diaries after midnight number.Taking no note of the Cinemascore though, it got D+. Cabin in the Woods got C-.
-
Yeh, I just used an average.

Nikki's article said an exec said "this is at the very high end of all horror comps"But it's actually the lowest we know of...Paranormal Activity 3 $8,000,000Paranormal Activity 2 $6,300,000The Devil Inside $2,000,000Scream 4 $1,000,000The Last Exorcism $750,000Chernobyl Diaries $525,000Still impressive. Chernobyl, should it follow the average multiplier of these films from midnight to opening day should have a $4m+ friday.

Chernobyl Diaries could do $15m+ 4 day now.
-
$525K for Chernobyl Diaries.NICE!

Just to let people know, here in Scotland it was 30degrees yesterday.Today it's 28. Sat-Mon have to be mid-20's.This will affect BO. A lot!

Haven't seen these ones: which according to IMDB, are rated highly by people. The Shawshank RedemptionThe Godfather (s)Star WarsGoodfellasany Indiana Jonesany Star Warsany Star TrekBut I'm not afraid to admit it. They don't appeal to me in the slightest.
-
I'm guessing only about $250-300k midnights for Chernobyl.I'm waiting on Nikki for both midnight numbers.
Weekend Estimates: TMB @ 13M, PROM @ 20.2M, ROA @ 15M, MAD3 @ 35.5M

Shame about the budget and star power.
