Maybe the smaller Tuesday increase will lessen the Wednesday drop for most films.
-
At least Cabin in the Woods bumped up. Glad it's doing well.So are 30% drops standard tomorrow?
-
Fantastic for The Cabin in the Woods.Smallest drop, and biggest PTA in the top 10.Nice.
-
Yay for Cabin!
-
$14.85m? Yes! Phew.
-
I mean: they fought so hard, and publicly, to get the rating down so as many people as possible could see it.But people still arent seeing it.It's a tough sell...the main goal of the film is too help stop kids from being bullied at school, so if the movie helps spread awareness and is shown at schools, and makes kids stick up for those being bullied, etc., then the movie is a success. (Hopefully there is some part of the Weinsteins that care more about that than money in this case, as they have plenty of it, etc.)

Ouch, $1,139 average for The Raid....how many theatres will drop it like a hot brick next weekend???
-
Very weak average.People obviously not as excited about Bully as the Weinstein Co are.
-
Mean Girls is one of my favourite films. Its SO quote-able. So well written, made, cast and acted. I love it.Who couldn't love a film that has this line:"I don't hate you because you're fat. You're fat because I hate you."
-
Why does thread title say $6.5m for Cabin?
-
Yay! Cabin increased on Saturday!! I thought it would decrease due to rush out. And by the looks of twitter, mainstream audiences not understanding it. Obviously WOM good. Yes!
-
Some of the tweets are hilarious re: Cabin in the Woods"Shit wasn't even scary"Um. Clearly they didn't get the concept of the entire film. I knew it would be hard for mainstream idiots to comprehend. They wrongly thought it would be Wrong Turn. Anyway, I'm happy with Friday gross. $0.5m more than I predicted.
-
Now she has Cabin at $5.5m and $13mI'm happy with that. Lionsgate cost was $12m.
-
The Dictator will do well here, Borat and even Bruno were hits.Remember, Cohen is from the Uk. This is where he started.
-
Streetdance 2 really bombed, no surprises.Interesting to see how Cabin in the Woods and Battleship (5 day) will do.
-
Great for Hunger Games, Jump Street and Mirror Mirror.Solid for Titanic.Just feel underwhelmed by American Reunion. It's done very similar to Scream 4 although with a smaller drop from part 3.
-
American Reunion underperformed like Scream 4. I guess the general moviegoing public just aren't as hyped for these sequels like the fans and studios are.Which is a shame. Hopefully it'll make more overseas like Scream 4.
-
$4.75m seems fine for a 3D re-release of a 15 year old film that 128million americans have already seen.
-
Great for Hunger Games!Poor for Wrath, unsurprisingly. WOM on the first film sucked.Mirror Mirror did well, many up until this week assumed this would be one of the biggest bombs of the year. Should do well throughout the next 3 weeks.Roll on Cabin in the Woods
-
I expected 25% wednesday drop, so yay.
-
Was hoping Hunger Games would increase. Boo.
-
I don't enjoy any of the big franchises, Twilight, Potter, Pirates etc.But I loved Hunger Games. It was fantastic. So for once I'm happy with an OW like this because I loved the film.Woop woop.
-
Aww this is a shame. But I like the phrase "slight failure" lol
-
Nice Tuesday jumps all round.
