  1. I think trailer didn't show much on purpose to keep some secrets compared to what first Avatar trailer did explaining all of the plot in 3 minutes. I see plenty of guys who already made their verdict on A2 being a copycat of A1, yet curious if they complain about tens of MCU/DC movies showing same stuff all over again with different heroes over years. Let's first see A2 in cinema and then we can say if it was copycat of first movie.
  2. You are indirectly implying on box office board that Avatar 2 will be as big flop as King Kong 2005, if you think that will be the case then good luck, no need to keep this conversation up.
  3. First Avatar was almost 3h and people still complain about second one, if you guys think this will be borefest just stay at home lmao
  4. Found on reddit: "I can't help with 4k, but here is a copy of the trailer in ProRes format. It's almost 3gb and should be visually flawless. The difference between this and YouTube almost feels like seeing it in 4k, due to the lack of compression." https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w7lA0oU8MlwpQiTwlWKN6Vy5O84R1DwC/view?usp=share_link
  5. Guy is saying Avatar 2 will do King Kong 2005 numbers, wouldn't take him seriously
  6. Best uncompressed 4k teaser was here thedigitaltheater.com hope they update with new trailer soon.
  7. This is just weak compressed 1080p youtube trailer. I saw this Na'vi kids swimming scene in IMAX 3D after re-release, was mind blowing.
  8. will riot if I don't see hyped up montage quoting: from legendary director of: Aliens, Terminator, Titanic, Avatar similar to first Avatar main trailer
  9. Even if it will be released, we can forget about full blown out release ala Endgame had is not possible due to 0 covid policies. This could be a status for next few years in China.
  10. Bad pacing in movies is a thing. I overall love long movies 2.5-3h+ and don't have problems with most of them. Still with new Batman I was feeling it in cinema and was thinking where the hell is the end of movie.
  11. Yes I meant it in a way that Feige can't take 3-year hiatus and not release a movie type of way.
  12. Cameron have his own vision for this Avatar world and he release stuff when it's done even if it means 13 years of waiting. Feige needs to release movies in constant manner, so fandom is happy. Two totally different approach going on here hard to even compare it.
  13. I rather see good Box Office run for movie than good RT score. Nowadays when we see bought and spammed scores on RT, Metacritic, IMDB and other platforms I don't take these sites seriously at all.
  14. Good article but it become another bad PR take as only thing being mentioned from it is once again "Cameron is bashing superhero movies and guy himself made blue pocahontas" everywhere I see it mentioned, twitter, movie websites etc.
  15. The Underwater Cinematography Behind Avatar 2: 3D Beam Splitter and Nikonos Lenses - YMCinema - News & Insights on Digital Cinema Good Read
  16. AvatarRemaster on Disney+ is cool just hope we will get proper UHD blu-ray next year I need that.
  17. Little rant, do you guys think Disney marketing or lack of it for Avatar 2 is lackluster? Small teaser released 6 months ago, we are less than 2 months till release and there's still no real big trailer. I don't think it's good for them to wait for last 30 days to start promoting it, imo they should drop big trailer with Balack Adam and then some additional one with BP2. We got some merchandise (cereal, McFarlane/Lego toys, artbooks) and re-release of first Avatar (2 weeks cut short even when it still was doing ok sales worldwide). There are small interviews done by cast members but that's really low key (few thousand views on youtube). I saw three days ago movie Smile in most popular cinema network in my country(EU) and there were some trailers played before it but no teaser of Avatar2. Are they really waiting for last month before December to release main TWOW trailer and start marketing? I don't get it how marketing for sequel of biggest boxoffice movie of all time can be so lackluster. For the first Avatar they were making Avatar day in August 2009 (which was marked by every Imax cinema in the world) and playing for free 15 minute of footage in 3d for people to get super hyped, that was great strategy to create positive word of mouth before release.
