  1. Kung Fu Panda 4 Thursday Previews T-7 Tickets Sold: 40 (+2) Growth: 5% % PLF: n/a 5 theaters/18 showtimes Comps: (2.667x) of Migration - $4.0 Million Nothing big to report. Still targeting $4M previews, probably multiplies to a $35-40M opening. Legs will likely be good as well
  2. Also I think it's worth noting that the $364M figure is nothing official because it's the budget before tax breaks and all that. All movies have two budgets: the real budget and the reported budget. This is just another example of the infamous Hollywood accounting. I'm sure the official budget for Superman will land around $250M, which is honestly nothing crazy considering that's how much Gunn's most recent CBM cost.
  3. Is there a chance that this crosses $10M because of its high ATP?
  4. I really hope this is a bad joke or something. There is no need for this type of behavior.
  5. To be fair, it was taken on Gunn's iPhone with no color grading or anything. I'm sure the final product will be better.
  6. https://www.threads.net/@jamesgunn/post/C38mPcOM-lD/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== Now titled 'SUPERMAN'
  7. I see. There are also rumors of them filming in Norway, which also offers a 25% tax break.
  8. The amount of people willing to believe a random source's outlandish claim over the words of the director himself is incredibly saddening.
  9. Like I said, presales are strong throughout the weekend, as other trackers have too reported. The IM will probably fall into the 8 range, at least high 7's. And considering that this movie has slim direct competition for nearly a month, I expect great legs. This may be optimistic but a 3.0x multiplier is possible. There's no reason to panic unless this movie truly falls off a cliff.
  10. I think The Fall Guy is gonna be big. I'd say folks are underestimating that one.
  11. Kung Fu Panda 4 Thursday Previews T-8 Tickets Sold: 38 (+17) Growth: 81% % PLF: n/a 5 theaters/18 showtimes Comps: (2.714x) of Migration - $4.07 Million Decent growth. Finally beginning to show a solid base. Should do ~$40M in its opening weekend if this pace continues.
  12. Dune: Part Two Thursday Previews T-1 Tickets Sold: 377 (+57) Growth: 18% % PLF: 34% 5 theaters/43 showtimes Comps: (1.401x) of Aquaman 2 - $6.30 Million (1.304x) of Madame Web - $7.89 Million (0.807x) of Bob Marley - $11.30 Million (5.164x) of Argylle - $8.78 Million COMPS AVG - $8.57 Million Oof. Just really meh growth all around. What went from a guaranteed $10M in my mind is now a $9.5M. The good news is that presales throughout the entire weekend are strong enough that $80M remains a possibility.
  13. Dune: Part Two Thursday Previews T-2 Tickets Sold: 320 (+35) Growth: 12% % PLF: 36% 5 theaters/38 showtimes Comps: (1.649x) of Aquaman 2 - $7.42 Million (1.481x) of Madame Web - $8.96 Million (6.154x) of Argylle - $10.46 Million COMPS AVG - $8.95 Million Falling against most comps. Pretty rough but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt that it's under indexing in my area, which is very much a possibility. Let's hope tomorrow it sees a decent enough increase.
  14. It's better to just not acknowledge half the foolishness and ignorance that goes around that subreddit.
  15. I don't recall anyone arguing that TSS isn't a flop or that it would do well under different conditions. Feels like targeted revisioning imo.
  16. If Deadline is reporting $170M, then $200M is the floor /s
  17. Not sure if this belongs here. I'll delete if it doesn't.
  18. I never said it was because those films are on an entirely different level.
  19. Yes. Anything that makes over $200M is a blockbuster in my eyes.
  20. I don't see how $80M is optimistic. Its a very likely target corroborated by data from multiple trackers here.
  21. Kung Fu Panda 4 Thursday Previews T-10 Tickets Sold: 21 (+3) Growth: 17% % PLF: n/a 5 theaters/18 showtimes Comps: (1.909x) of Migration - $2.86 Million The interest for this movie is simply non-existent. It's a shame that this movie is looking to continue the trend of each Kung Fu Panda movie grossing less than its predecessor.
